Bodjomo
Bodjomo, also spelled ''Bojomo'', is a village located in Ouham Prefecture, Central African Republic. History One hundred APRD fighters attacked Bodjomo on 28 December 2005, making it the first APRD's attack. In response to it, Presidential Guard visited the village. They killed seven civilians and torched 500 houses. Revolution and Justice captured Bodjomo in January 2014 from Seleka's hand. In April 2014, Séléka militias visited Bodjomo and killed four people, including two catechists from the catholic church. Ouham
Ouham is one of the 20 prefectures of the Central African Republic. Its capital is Bossangoa. The prefecture covers an area of 20,240 km² and, according to official estimates, its population was 329,645 inhabitants in 2024. At the time of the country's last official census, in 2003, the population was 369,220 inhabitants in an area of 50,250 km². These are data from before December 2020, when part of the territory was dismembered to create the Ouham-Fafa prefecture. Geography The prefecture is in the north-west of the Central African Republic. In the north it has a border with Chad. Markounda
Markounda, formerly Fort-Brusseaux, is a sub-prefecture and town in the Ouham Prefecture of the north-western Central African Republic. The sub-prefecture borders with Chad. History Codos rebels from Chad attacked Markounda on 9 November 1984, killed the town's police commissioner, and briefly occupied it for several hours. Later, they withdrew to Chad when they heard reinforcement forces would come to the town. The reinforcement forces of the Presidential guard were sent to Markounda, and as they arrived on 10 November, they did not encounter any rebels. The People's Army for the Restoration of Democracy APRD (fr. ''L’Armée Populaire pour la restauration de la démocratie'') was a Rebellion, rebel group operating in the northwest of the Central African Republic (CAR). The APRD was formed in 2006 following the 2003 Central African Republic coup d'état, 2003 coup which overthrew President Ange-Félix Patassé. It is one of several groups which fought in the 2004-2007 Central African Republic Bush War. Initially claiming it wished to overthrow current Heads of state of the Central African Republic (and Central African Empire), CAR President François Bozizé, the APRD was the last of the three rebel coalitions to engage in the 2007 peace process. Séléka CPSK-CPJP-UFDR was an alliance of rebel militia groups that subjugated the Central African Republic (CAR) on 24 March 2013. After its official dissolution in September 2013, the remaining rebel groups became known as Ex-Séléka. Central African Patriotic Movement
Central African Patriotic Movement (MPC, ) is a rebel group in the Central African Republic based in the northwestern part of the country. History MPC was formed in July 2015 by Mahamat Al-Khatim. Central African Armed Forces
The Central African Armed Forces (; FACA) are the armed forces of the Central African Republic and have been barely functional since the outbreak of the Central African Republic Civil War, civil war in 2012. Today they are among the world's weakest armed forces, dependent on international support to provide security in the country. In recent years the government has struggled to form a unified national army. It consists of the Ground Force (which includes the Central African Republic Air Force, air service), the gendarmerie, and the National Police. Its disloyalty to the president came to the fore during the mutinies in 1996–1997, and since then has faced internal problems.
