Christel Bodenstein
Christel Bodenstein (born 13 October 1938) is a German film and television actress. She appeared in many East German (GDR) productions and is best known outside Germany for her leading role as the young princess in '' The Singing Ringing Tree'' (1957). Biography In 1949 she moved to Leipzig in the GDR with her mother. She attended the ballet school of the Leipzig Opera and the State Ballet School, Berlin and became a ballet dancer. She met the film director Kurt Maetzig who suggested she study acting and screen test for a film, she then studied acting at the Academy of Film and Television in Potsdam. She was married from 1960 to 1978 to the director Konrad Wolf and they had a son Mirko in 1961. Her second marriage is to the actor and playwright Hasso von Lenski. Cornelis Johannes Bodenstein
Cornelis Johannes Bodenstein (4 November 1826 - 26 June 1885) was a former member of the executive council and Vice State President of the South African Republic and president of the parliament, Volksraad. He was born in Beaufort West on 4 November 1826. He was a son of Johannes Bodenstein who emigrated from Germany. In Natal, he became secretary to the Volksraad of Natalia Republic, and later served as magistrate. In 1845 his family emigrated from Colony of Natal to Transvaal. He had a career in public service. In 1858, he was assistant commandant in the campaign against Moshweshwe and later became commandant until he resigned in 1861. In 1863, he became a member of the court which tried certain cases out of the Transvaal civil war. Cornelis Johannes "Corne" Bodenstein (born 3 November 1992) is a Jersey international cricketer. Born in South Africa, he also played two first-class matches for Oxford MCC University during the 2013 season. Bodenstein is a left-handed all-rounder. Bodenstein was born in Pretoria, but went to school in Jersey, attending Saint Helier's Victoria College. A captain of the school team, he represented Jersey at both the 2009 and 2010 European Under-17 Championships. His senior debut for Jersey came in 2011, at the age of 18, when he played against Cornwall and a Hertfordshire development team early in the season. Max Bodenstein
Max Ernst August Bodenstein (July 15, 1871 – September 3, 1942) was a German physical chemist known for his work in chemical kinetics. He was first to postulate a chain reaction mechanism and that explosions are branched chain reactions, later applied to the atomic bomb. Early life Max Bodenstein was born in Magdeburg on 15 July 1871 as the eldest son of Magdeburg merchant and brewer Franz Bodenstein (1834–1885) and his first wife Elise Meissner (1846–1876). Education In 1888, Max Bodenstein enrolled at the University of Heidelberg at the age of 17 to study chemistry with Carl Remigius Fresenius. Andreas Bodenstein
Andreas Rudolph Bodenstein von Karlstadt (148624 December 1541), better known as Andreas Karlstadt or Andreas Carlstadt or Karolostadt, or simply as Andreas Bodenstein, was a German Protestant theologian, University of Wittenberg chancellor, a contemporary of Martin Luther and a reformer of the early Reformation. Karlstadt became a close associate of Martin Luther and one of the earliest Protestant Reformers. After Frederick III, Elector of Saxony concealed Luther at the Wartburg (1521–1522), Karlstadt and Thomas Müntzer started the first iconoclastic movement in Wittenberg and preached theology that was viewed as Anabaptist, but Karlstadt and Müntzer never regarded themselves as Anabaptists. Adam Von Bodenstein
Adam von Bodenstein (1528–1577) was a Swiss Paracelsian alchemist and physician. He was born in Kemberg near Wittenberg in Germany and died of the plague in Basel. His father, Andreas Rudolph Bodenstein von Karlstadt, was a prominent theologian and early Protestant opponent of Martin Luther. As the guiding force of early German Paracelsianism, Bodenstein published over forty Paracelsian titles from 1560, which had a tremendous influence on the later development of Paracelsianism. Since he published these texts without the knowledge of the Basel medical faculty, he was expelled from "Facultet und Consilio“ of the Basel University.
