Bocchetto Sessera
Bocchetto Sessera or Bocchetto di Sessera is a mountain pass (el. 1,373 m) across the Alpi Biellesi. It connects Strona di Mosso Valley and Valsessera, both in the province of Biella (Piemonte, Italy) . Etymology In the local dialect ''bochet'' means ''mountain pass'', while ''Sessera'' is the name of the river which flows in the Sessera Valley. Geography The pass is located between Monticchio (1,697 m, W) and monte Marca (1,558 m, E). It belongs to the water divide between the drainage basins of Cervo and Sessera. Access Bocchetto di Sassera can be accessed by car from Campiglia Cervo or from Trivero by the former national road ''Strada statale 232 Panoramica Zegna''.Now ''Strada Provinciale 232 Panoramica Zegna'' (''strada provinciale'' = provincial road). Sessera
The Sessera ( pms, Séssera) is a long torrent in the Piedmont region - NW Italy. Geography The Sessera starts in the Biellese Alps on the south-eastern slopes of Monte Bo. It initially flows from NW to SE and then encircles the Cima dell'Asnas and forms the artificial lake of Mischie, where it meets its first important tributary, the torrente Dolca (''Dolca creek''). With several meanders the Sessera reaches Coggiola and the inhabited part of its valley. Cross-country skiing is a form of skiing where skiers rely on their own locomotion to move across snow-covered terrain, rather than using ski lifts or other forms of assistance. Campiglia Cervo is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region Piedmont, located about northeast of Turin and about northwest of Biella. Cervo (river)
The Cervo (Piedmontese ''Sar'' or ''Serv'') is a torrent (a form of seasonally intermittent stream) in the Piedmont region of north-west Italy. It is the principal tributary of the river Sesia, which itself is a significant tributary of the Po. Etymology The name ''Cervo'' rather than from the Latin ''cervus'' (''deer'') should come from the Germanic ''saar'' (''stream'' or ''river''). Geography It crosses the provinces of Biella (communes of Piedicavallo, Rosazza, Campiglia Cervo, Sagliano Micca, Andorno Micca, Tollegno, Biella, Candelo and Castelletto Cervo) and Vercelli (Quinto Vercellese).
