Bobby Quarry
Robert Neil Quarry (born November 20, 1962), known as Bobby Quarry, is a former boxer and the youngest brother of James, Jerry and Mike Quarry. Bobby Quarry was born in Lynwood, California, and is the last surviving brother of the four Quarry brothers, three of whom were noted boxers. Quarry boxed professionally from 1982-1992, amassing a record of 10-12-2. In combat sports such as boxing and MMA, an orthodox stance, also known as a northpaw stance, is one in which the fighter places their left foot in front, thus placing their left side closer to the opponent. Jerry Quarry (May 15, 1945 – January 3, 1999), nicknamed "Irish" or "The Bellflower Bomber", was an American professional boxer. During the peak of his career from 1968 to 1971, Quarry was a popular figure in boxing, featured on the cover ''The Ring'' and other boxing magazines, as well as on hit TV shows. His most famous bouts were against Muhammad Ali. He is regarded as being one of the best heavyweight boxers never to win a title. He beat former world heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson and top contenders Ron Lyle, Earnie Shavers, Brian London, Thad Spencer, Buster Mathis, Randy Neumann, Jack Bodell, Mac Foster and Eduardo Corletti. Michael Wayne Quarry (March 4, 1951 – June 11, 2006) was an American light heavyweight boxer. He had a record of 63–13–6 including 17 knockouts during his career. He defeated such fighters as Jimmy Dupree. Mike Quarry was born in Bakersfield, California. He began boxing at the age of eight and obtained his license to fight as an amateur at 17. He tried to emulate his elder brother Jerry Quarry, a renowned heavyweight fighter . At one time Michael said, "They might as well put on my epitaph: Here lies Jerry Quarry's little brother." Tommy Morrison (January 2, 1969 – September 1, 2013) was an American professional boxer and mixed martial artist who competed from 1988 to 2009. Best known for his left hook (boxing), hook and formidable punching power, Morrison won the World Boxing Organization, WBO heavyweight title in 1993 with a George Foreman vs. Tommy Morrison, unanimous decision victory over George Foreman.
