Bobby Henon
Bobby Henon is an American former politician. He was a Democratic member of the Philadelphia City Council from 2012 until 2022. Political career Henon, an electrician by trade, has worked as a steward, sub-foreman, and foreman. John "Johnny Doc" Dougherty, the leader of the local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), eventually named him the chapter's new political director, a position from which Henon lobbied various levels of government on legislative issues pertaining to the electrical industry. Henon also managed election day operations for endorsed candidates, educated campaign volunteers, and coordinated major campaign events. The Philadelphia City Council is the legislative body of the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States. It is composed of 17 councilmembers: ten members elected by district and seven members elected at-large from throughout the city. The Council serves as a check against the Mayor of Philadelphia in a mayor-council system of government. Council can override mayoral vetoes with a two-thirds vote. Among other responsibilities, the Council approves the city budget proposed by the Mayor. Councilmembers are elected for four-year terms with no limits on the number of terms they may serve. Michael Driscoll (Pennsylvania Politician)
Michael Joseph Driscoll (born March 20, 1960) is an American politician who serves as a Democratic member of the Philadelphia City Council, representing the 6th district since 2022. Prior to that, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 173rd district. Early life and education Driscoll was born in the Northeast region of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 20, 1960. John J. "Johnny Doc" Dougherty is a former labor leader in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the business manager of the powerful IBEW Local 98 and a prominent political figure who helped numerous Democratic candidates get elected by directing donations and volunteers. In 2021, he was convicted of fraud and resigned as business manager of Local 98. In 2023, he was convicted of 70 counts of embezzlement for stealing funds from the union. In 2015, he was the top campaign fundraiser for the successful campaign of his brother, Kevin Dougherty, to become a justice on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Justice.
