Bobby Bass (wrestler)
Dennis Baldrock (born February 23, 1947) is a Canadian retired professional wrestler and manager. He wrestled under the ring name, No Class Bobby Bass where he spent most of his career in the Maritimes for Grand Prix Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling in Calgary. Professional wrestling career Bass started his career in 1969 in Kentucky where he made $25 a night. In 1970, he made his debut for Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, Alberta as Bob Pringle. He would become a three-time Stampede Wrestling International Tag Team Champion in 1974, 1976 and 1980. Then in 1973, he made his debut in the Central States and American Wrestling Association in Minnesota as Percy Pringle. This was before Willam Moody who became Percy Pringle in 1978 and later became Paul Bearer who managed The Undertaker in the WWF. Bass used this name until 1977. Dartmouth ( ) is an urban community and former city located in the Halifax Regional Municipality of Nova Scotia, Canada. Dartmouth is located on the eastern shore of Halifax Harbour. NWA Canadian Tag Team Championship (Vancouver Version)
The Vancouver version of the NWA Canadian Tag Team Championship was established in 1962 as the top tag team title in NWA All-Star Wrestling. The title held that status until late summer 1985, when the title was renamed the UWA Tag Team Championship upon All-Star Wrestling's departure as a member of the National Wrestling Alliance, aside from the period from June 1966 to December 1967, when the promotion had a version of the NWA World Tag Team Championship, which was abandoned after that time. Roy Lee Albern (October 10, 1933 – November 12, 1991), known by the ring name Ripper Collins, was an American professional wrestler who wrestled mainly during his career for 50th State Big Time Wrestling also known as NWA Hawaii. Professional wrestling career Collins started pro wrestling in Texas and later went to St. Louis. In 1961, he made his debut in the American Wrestling Association where he stayed until 1963. Donald Hollis Welch (March 14, 1946 - September 16, 2016) was an American professional wrestler, best known by the ring name Don Bass. Professional wrestling career Early career (1973–1981) Don Welch was trained by AL "Spider" Galento and started wrestling in 1968. Bass found early success as a tag team wrestler, teaming up with his brother, Ron Bass as a member of the heel stable The Bass Family. The duo was managed by their "mother", Maw Bass. NWA United States Tag Team Championship (Gulf Coast Version)
The NWA United States Tag Team Championship was a professional wrestling tag team championship in Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling (GCCW). A secondary title after the NWA Gulf Coast Tag Team Championship, it was one of many U.S. tag team championships recognized by the National Wrestling Alliance. It was unified with the NWA United States Tag Team Championship (Tri-State version) on April 15, 1974. Some reigns were held by champions using a ring name, while others used their real name. There have been a total of 37 recognized individual champions and 25 recognized teams, who have had a combined 39 official reigns. Continental Championship Wrestling was a professional wrestling promotion based in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Dothan, Alabama from 1985 until 1989, owned by Ron Fuller. The promotion evolved out of the NWA-affiliated Southeastern Championship Wrestling and Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling territories owned by Fuller, who purchased the Knoxville territory from John Cazana in 1974 and the Alabama/Florida territory in 1977. Grand Prix Wrestling (GPW) is a professional wrestling promotion run and owned by Emile Duprée. Grand Prix Wrestling has recently finished the 2013 Rising Sun In The Maritimes Tour. Francisco Flores (date of birth unknown) is a former Mexican professional wrestling promoter who is most known for his part in creating and running the Universal Wrestling Association from the mid-1970s until the 1990s when it closed down. At one point in time the UWA's shows as the ''Toreo de Quatro Caminos'' arena were the biggest drawing shows in all of Mexico, putting the UWA in contention for being the biggest wrestling promotion in Mexico at the time. Joe Ventura
Joe Ventura (born 1953) is a Canadian retired professional wrestler who was active throughout the 1970s and 80s. Although he is of Italian descent, Ventura had most of his success portraying an Indian ( First Nation) under the ring name (Chief) Joe Lightfoot. Leo Burke
Léonce Cormier (born June 29, 1948) is a Canadian retired professional wrestler. He was born in Dorchester, New Brunswick. He competed across Canada, in several American promotions, and wrestled internationally for both Puerto Rico's World Wrestling Council (WWC) and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in New Zealand. In Canada, where he spent the majority of his career, Cormier used the ring name Leo Burke. In the United States, however, he competed as Tommy Martin. Over the course of his career, Cormier held 46 wrestling championships. Several of his title victories came as part of a tag team with his brothers, three of whom were also professional wrestlers.
