Bobby April III
Robert April III is an American football coach who is currently the Defensive Coordinator and Outside Linebackers Coach for the Stanford Cardinal. Coaching career College career April III began his coaching career in 2004 as a student assistant for the Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns. He then became a graduate assistant for the Tulane Green Wave from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, April III became the special teams coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the Portland State Vikings through 2009. In 2010, he was special teams coordinator and safeties coach for the Nicholls State Colonels. In 2018, April III returned to college football as outside linebackers coach for the Wisconsin Badgers. Professional career April III was defensive quality control coach for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2011 to 2012. Linebackers
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). Rex Ashley Ryan (born December 13, 1962) is an American former football coach and analyst. Ryan was formerly the head coach of the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL), and also held various coaching positions with eight other NFL and college teams.
