''Bobbili Puli'' () is a 1982 Indian Telugu-language action film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao and Sridevi, with music composed by J. V. Raghavulu. The film was a big hit, collecting 3.5 Crore in its theatrical run. It was remade in Hindi as '' Zakhmi Sher'' (1984). Plot Major Chakradhar, a lionhearted soldier, lives with his mother, Annapurna, sister Jayanti, and fiancé Advocate Vijaya. Just before their wedding, the Army declares an emergency. So, Chakradhar pauses and moves to the battlefield. Acharya Shankaraiah, a devotional-seeking traitorous, creates mayhem in society, clutching several higher officials. Dasari Narayana Rao (4 May 1942 – 30 May 2017) was an Indian film director, screenwriter, actor, producer, lyricist, and politician, primarily known for his work in Telugu cinema. Over his four decade career, he directed more than 150 feature films, earning a Limca World Record for directing the most films in the world. Mikkilineni Radhakrishna Murthy (7 July 1914 - 23 February 2011) was an Indian actor and thespian known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He was one of the founding members of the theater group ''Praja Natya Mandali''. Ambika is an Indian actress known for her work predominantly across the entire southern film industry and in several tele serials. She has also acted in an English film (Indian-American), to date.
