Bob Ojeda (musician)
Robert Ojeda (September 1, 1941 – March 26, 2020) was an American jazz trumpeter. Career Ojeda grew up in Chicago, where he went to jazz clubs as a teenager. By the time he was 15, he and a friend were leading a neighborhood band, for which he was already orchestrating and arranging. At 18 he played in Stan Kenton's orchestra, and in the following years with Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Ralph Marterie and Les Elgart. In the second half of the 1960s he was involved in recordings by Bunky Green, and Joe Morello in Chicago. He has also appeared on the TV shows ''The Tonight Show'' and '' The Midnight Special''. In the following years he belonged to the Les Hooper Big Band. He has also worked with Hank Jones, Lionel Hampton, and The Manhattan Transfer. In 1975 he played with The Rolling Stones. Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC), also known as NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, is a 545-bed public hospital in the Elmhurst, Queens, Elmhurst neighborhood of Queens in New York City. John William Carson (October 23, 1925 – January 23, 2005) was an American television host, comedian, and writer best known as the host of NBC's ''The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'' (1962–1992). Rosemary Clooney
Rosemary Clooney (May 23, 1928 – June 29, 2002) was an American singer and actress. Lena Horne
Lena Mary Calhoun Horne (June 30, 1917 – May 9, 2010) was an American singer, actress, dancer and civil rights activist. Horne's career spanned more than seventy years and covered film, television and theatre. Horne joined the chorus of the Cotton Club at the age of sixteen and became a nightclub performer before moving on to Cinema of the United States, Hollywood and Broadway theatre, Broadway. Joe Williams (born Joseph Goreed; December 12, 1918 – March 29, 1999) was an American jazz singer. He sang with big bands, such as the Count Basie Orchestra and the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, and with small combos. He sang in two films with the Basie orchestra and sometimes worked as an actor. Early life Williams was born in Cordele, Georgia, the son of Willie Goreed and Anne Beatrice, ''née'' Gilbert. George Benson
George Washington Benson (born March 22, 1943) is an American jazz fusion guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He began his professional career at the age of 19 as a jazz guitarist. A former child prodigy, Benson first came to prominence in the 1960s, playing soul jazz with Jack McDuff and others. He then launched a successful solo career, alternating between jazz, pop, rhythm and blues, R&B singing, and scat singing. His album ''Breezin''' was certified triple-music recording sales certification, platinum, hitting No. 1 on the Billboard (magazine), ''Billboard'' album chart in 1976. As of 2015, Schuur had released 23 albums, and had extended her jazz repertoire to include essences of Latin, gospel, pop and country music.
