Bob Neal (Atlanta Sportscaster)
Bob Neal (born November 14, 1942 in Morristown, Tennessee, raised in Chicago) is an American sportscaster. Career Bob Neal has been involved for forty years with television and radio at the national and local level. He is currently engaged in teaching sports journalism at the University of Georgia and Georgia State University, and is the anchor of the syndicated "Play To Win" NFL and college football show, independently produced. Neal has also been a familiar voice for Turner Sports on its national NBA coverage for TNT and TBS for telecasts for 23 years. The Chicago bred broadcaster's lengthy resume also includes play-by-play for the NBA and NCAA college football games on NBC. At TNT and TBS, Neal has been the broadcast voice for PGA Tour events, NFL football, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks and World Cup soccer. Bob Neal (Cleveland Sportscaster)
Robert Neal (1916 – December 29, 1983) was an American sportscaster who worked primarily in Cleveland, Ohio. Neal graduated from Columbia University. He broadcast the Cleveland Indians on radio 1957–1961 and 1965–1972, and on television 1952–1953 and 1962–1964. He was also the original broadcaster for Cleveland Browns football games on radio and television starting in 1946 and continuing through 1951. He handled the 1954 Orange Bowl game for CBS television, 1955 and 1956 World Series for Mutual radio and the 1957 World Series for NBC radio. In 1955, Neal began his own ''World of Sports'' program Monday - Thursday nights on Mutual. Neal also worked as a sportscaster for KYW-TV (now WKYC-TV) in Cleveland, appearing alongside weatherman Joe Finan; occasionally, fellow sportscaster Jim Graner would fill in for Neal. Bob Neal (promoter)
Bob Neal (born Robert Neal Hobgood; October 6, 1917 – May 9, 1983) was a country music promoter who managed Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Sonny James, and Tom T. Hall, among others. Biography Neal was born in the Belgian Congo to American missionary parents. In 1942, he joined WMPS, a Memphis radio station. Although he did not originally play country music, he achieved greater success once he specialized in that style in the early 1950s. In 1954, Sam Phillips gave Bob Neal an acetate of Elvis Presley's first record and Bob Neal promoted it on WMPS along with Dewey Phillips' promotion of Elvis's first record on WHBQ. Bob Neal organized live music events and was also an emcee. So, upon Sam Phillips' request, he set up Elvis Presley for his first live performance at Overton Park in Memphis, Tennessee on July 30, 1954. Sir Robert James MacGillivray Neill (born 24 June 1952) is a British barrister and Conservative Party politician. He has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bromley and Chislehurst since a by-election on 29 June 2006, following the death of the previous incumbent Eric Forth. He served as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Communities and Local Government from 14 May 2010 to 4 September 2012.
