Robert Pryor Henry
Robert Pryor Henry (November 24, 1788 – August 25, 1826) was a U.S. Representative from Kentucky. Born in Henrys Mills, Kentucky (then a part of Virginia), Henry pursued classical studies and was graduated from Transylvania College, Lexington, Kentucky. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1809 and commenced practice in Georgetown, Kentucky. He owned slaves. He served as prosecuting attorney in 1819. He served in the War of 1812. He moved to Hopkinsville in 1817. Henry was elected as a Jackson Republican to the Eighteenth Congress and reelected as a Jacksonian candidate to the Nineteenth Congress and served from March 4, 1823, until his death in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, August 25, 1826. His brother John Flournoy Henry took over his seat until the next election in 1827. He was interred in Pioneer Cemetery in Hopkinsville. Gas House Gang (quartet)
Gas House Gang was a barbershop quartet that won the 1993 SPEBSQSA International Quartet Competition. They began singing together as a group in 1987 in St. Louis, Missouri. After winning the Central States District Competition in 1988 on their first attempt, they steadily advanced in the International Competition, ultimately winning the 1993 International Quartet Championship in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Performances The Gas House Gang toured the United States and they performed in all fifty states in the U.S. They also sang extensively in Canada and performed around the world, singing in 15 countries. Robert Dee Henry (September 4, 1931 – September 30, 1971) was an American actor and stuntman. He starred in the 1946 serial film ''Hop Harrigan'', in which he played Jackie Nolan. Life and career Henry was born in Colorado, where his mother ran an equestrian facility and taught him to ride. He began his career in 1933 as a child actor in the film ''Little Women''. Robert Selph Henry
Colonel Robert Selph Henry (October 20, 1889 – August 19, 1970) was an American lawyer, railroad executive and historian. He was an executive of the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway from 1921 to 1934, and the vice president of the Association of American Railroads from 1934 to 1958. He was the author of several books about the history of the Southern United States, including the American Civil War and the Mexican–American War, as well as railroads. He was the 1957 president of the Southern Historical Association. A veteran of World War I, he was a reservist until his 1952 retirement as a colonel. Robert Henry FRSE FSA (Scot) (18 February 1718 – 24 November 1790) was a Scottish minister and historian. Life He was born on 18 February 1718, the son of Jean Galloway and James Henry, a farmer at Muirton Farm near St. Ninians, Stirlingshire. Henry was educated at St Ninian's Parish School then Stirling Grammar School. He then studied at the University of Edinburgh. After teaching at Annan Grammar School, he entered the Church of Scotland, being licensed by the Presbytery of Annan in 1746, but not finding a patron. He was finally ordained in 1748, just over the Scottish border in Carlisle, and translated in 1760 to Berwick-upon-Tweed, still just over the Scottish border (the rules on patronage were different in England). The Minnesota Golden Gophers track and field team is the track and field program that represents University of Minnesota. The Golden Gophers compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Big Ten Conference. The team is based in St. Paul, Minnesota at the University of Minnesota Track & Field Stadium. Robert Wayne Henry, III (born January 26, 1990) is a former American football player. He previously played quarterback and safety for the Purdue Boilermakers. Henry attended Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala, Florida, where he played both football and baseball, and competed in track & field. Henry led Trinity Catholic to two conference championships and a runner-up in the 2B State Championship game. He ended his high school football career with over 4,300 total yards and 39 touchdowns. After his senior season, he moved on to Purdue University where he redshirted in 2009. In his first collegiate appearance, Henry ran for 16-yards against Notre Dame. He would later assume the starting quarterback position after an injury to Robert Marve. Robert Henry (Canadian Politician)
Robert Henry (November 30, 1845 – January 30, 1918) was a Scottish-born grocer and political figure in Ontario, Canada. He represented Brant South in the House of Commons of Canada in 1896 as a Conservative. Henry was also mayor of Brantford in 1878, 1879 and 1887. He was born in Perthshire and came to Brantford with his family in 1853. He first worked in a stationary and news store before being employed in the grocery trade. He became manager and then partner in the grocery firm of Alfred Watts. The company also operated the Brantford Soap Works. Henry was first elected to Brantford city council in 1876. He married Caroline Philip in 1879. His election to the House of Commons in 1896 was overturned and he was defeated by Charles Bernhard Heyd in the 1897 by-election which followed and in the 1900 general election.
