Robert Cook (Australian Politician)
Robert Cook (18 April 1867 – 21 May 1930) was an Australian politician. He was a Australian Country Party (1920), Country Party member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1919 to 1928, representing the Victoria (Australia), Victorian electorate of Division of Indi, Indi. Early life Cook was born at Chiltern, Victoria to England, English splitter Henry Cook and his Ireland, Irish wife Mary, née Wilkinson. He received little formal education and was soon a land-owner, owning land at Tallangatta, Victoria, Tallangatta and Porepunkah, Victoria, Porepunkah. He married Sarah Anne Weston on 24 December 1894 at Porepunkah; in 1905, they moved to Oxley, Victoria, Oxley and established a dairy farm. Robert Edwin Cook
Robert Edwin Cook (July 19, 1863 – July 27, 1946) or Robert E. Cook, as he is more commonly known, was an American architect and engineer. Robert E. Cook is most famous for his design of Washington, D.C.'s Spanish Steps. The native Washingtonian was a prominent figure in Washington, D.C., society throughout the early 1900s. Early life Robert was born to George R. and Annie Cook on July 19, 1863, in Southeast Washington, D.C. As a youth, he was an active member of the old Fourth Street Methodist Church. Robert married Mary Lizzie Thompson on September 2, 1899, in Newtonville, Massachusetts. Robert and Mary had one daughter, Julia Thompson Lindquist (née Cook). Robert Matthew Cook is a Magistrate of the Australian Capital Territory. He was appointed as a magistrate on 11 September 2013. Career Cook first held positions as a dry-cleaner, waiter, barman and paperboy. Cook then enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force in 1976. He studied at the Queensland University of Technology while serving and eventually worked as a legal officer. In 1996, Cook left the Royal Australian Air Force and became a solicitor in private practice. During this time, he was also the Vice-President of the Australian Industrial Relations Tribunal. From 2005 to 2010, he was also Deputy President of the ACT Racing Appeals Tribunal. He eventually became a partner in two separate major law firms. He was called to the bar in 2010. He specialised in employment law as well as work, health and safety law. Robert Raymond Cook
Robert Raymond Cook (July 15, 1937 – November 15, 1960) was a Canadian mass murderer who was convicted of killing his father, Raymond Cook, in Stettler, Alberta, on June 25, 1959. Robert killed his entire family at their home in Stettler, albeit he only stood trial for killing his father. He was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death. After officials declined to grant clemency, Robert was hanged in 1960. He was the last person to be executed by the province of Alberta. Early life Robert's mother died when he was 9 years old. Robert Percival Cook FRSE (1906-1989) was an Australian-born biochemist. He advised the UK government on nutritional issues during the Second World War and was considered an expert in the field of nutrition.
