Early life and education Born in New York City into a Jewish family, Bauer graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1970. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College in 1973, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1976. Robert Henry Bauer (born November 14, 1930) is a retired American minor league baseball player and manager. Born in Decatur, Illinois, he batted left-handed, threw right-handed, stood and weighed . Bauer had a ten-year minor league playing career in the farm systems of the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees, where he was used primarily at third base, but also in right and left field. Late in his playing career, Bauer was a player-manager. From 1953 to 1957, Bauer was part of the Cardinals system, making stops in Alexandria of the Evangeline League, Odessa of the Longhorn League, Lynchburg of the Piedmont League, Peoria of the Three-I League, and Winston-Salem of the Carolina League. Bobby Bauer
Robert Theodore Bauer (February 16, 1915 – September 16, 1964) was a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger who played 10 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Boston Bruins. He was a member of the famed " Kraut Line" with teammates Milt Schmidt and Woody Dumart. The trio led the Bruins to two Stanley Cup championships and became the first line to finish first, second and third in NHL scoring, in 1939–40. Bauer was named to the All-Star team four times and was a three-time winner of the Lady Byng Trophy, awarded for gentlemanly conduct combined with a high calibre of play. Robert Bauer (1950 – 8 September 2014) was a German mycologist, specialising in rust ( Uredinales) and smut ( Ustilaginomycetes) fungi. Bauer studied Biology at the University of Tübingen during the 1970s, and a particular interest in plants and fungi led to completing his PhD there in 1983, with a doctoral dissertation entitled ' (''Experimental-ontogenetic and karyological studies on Uredinales''). He went on to become chair of "Systematic Botany and Mycology" (now "Evolutionary Ecology of Plants") in the "Institute of Evolution and Ecology" at Tübingen. He became adept in the use of electron microscopes and the prerequisite specialised cutting and preparation techniques at a time when ultrastructural study of fungi was still in its infancy. Robert Bauer (born 1942) is an American painter who creates pictures of people, landscapes, backyards, and gardens. Bauer's paintings of backyards and gardens gained him much recognition and his art has been shown in multiple exhibitions. Personal life Bauer was born in Iowa in 1942 and spent his childhood on a farm near Williamsburg, Iowa, United States. Despite enjoying drawing as a child and attending art classes in high school, Bauer was not aware until years later that he could make a living from painting. He became a Marine after graduating from high school and drew pictures when he was not on duty. Bauer visited art museums and read about the history of art in his spare time.
