Blue On Blue (Under The Dome)
"Blue on Blue" is the fifth episode of the CBS drama '' Under the Dome.'' The episode aired on July 22, 2013. It was after this episode that the series was renewed for a second season on July 29, 2013. The episode was screened at the 2013 Comic-Con, and was received positively by viewers; and was also well received by most critics. Upon airing, the episode was watched by 11.60 million viewers, with an 18-49 rating of 2.8, presenting an increase in ratings from the previous episode. Plot Despite finding Angie in the shelter, Jim leaves her locked up, unable to believe his son would do such a thing. ''Under the Dome'' is an American science-fiction horror fiction, horror Mystery fiction, mystery drama (film and television), drama television series. It premiered on CBS on June 24, 2013 and concluded on September 10, 2015. The series was developed by Brian K. Vaughan and loosely based on Stephen King's 2009 novel ''Under the Dome (novel), Under the Dome''. ''Under the Dome'' tells the story of the residents of the fictional small town of Chester's Mill, when a massive, transparent and indestructible dome suddenly cuts them off from the rest of the world. Military forces, the government, and the media start positioning themselves outside the barrier in an attempt to break it down. As this happens, the residents trapped inside find their own ways to survive with diminishing resources and rising tensions. The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB, , colloquially explained as "mother of all bombs") is a large-yield bomb, developed for the United States military by Albert L. Weimorts, Jr. of the Air Force Research Laboratory. It was first tested in 2003. At the time of development, it was said to be the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the American arsenal. The bomb is designed to be delivered by a C-130 Hercules, primarily the MC-130E Combat Talon I or MC-130H Combat Talon II variants. The bomb's name and nickname were inspired by Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's invocation of the "mother of all battles" (''Umm al-Ma'arik'') during the 1991 Gulf War. The MOAB was first deployed in combat on the 13 April 2017 airstrike against an Islamic State – Khorasan Province tunnel complex in Achin District, Afghanistan.
