''Blue MAGA'' is a term used differently by many factions of the left-leaning American voters, but most often used to describe a specific faction that – while not always directly voting for Trump – are criticized as acting in a way that helps Trump, and/or are perceived to share critical attributes similar to Trump's right-leaning MAGA (abbreviation for Trump's slogan, "Make America Great Again") supporters, known as "Red MAGA." A major common attribute between "Blue MAGA" and "Red MAGA" supporters may include a hatred for the leaders of the Democratic Party, which often includes an (unproven) belief that Democratic leaders and/or the Democratic National Committee (the DNC) is rigging elections. The specifics of these beliefs may differ from "Red MAGA" supporters, but similarities between the two sets of beliefs often lead to this comparison being made. A false equivalence or false equivalency is an informal fallacy in which an equivalence is drawn between two subjects based on flawed, faulty, or false reasoning.
