Blue Amazon (group)
Blue Amazon is an English electronic music act founded by Lee Softley and James Reid. Reid left the group in 2000 and Softley adopted the name as a solo moniker. Their 1990s singles "No Other Love", "And Then the Rain Falls" and "Coming Home" all entered the UK Singles Chart, and they released their debut and only studio album, ''The Javelin'', in 1997. In addition, they have remixed work for musicians including Sasha, Skunk Anansie, New Order and Madonna. Huddersfield
Huddersfield is a market town in the Kirklees district in West Yorkshire, England. It is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Kirklees district. The town is in the foothills of the Pennines. The River Holme's confluence into the similar-sized River Colne, West Yorkshire, Colne to the south of the town centre which then flows into the River Calder, West Yorkshire, Calder in the north eastern outskirts of the town. Phonograph Record
A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. The groove usually starts near the periphery and ends near the center of the disc. At first, the discs were commonly made from shellac, with earlier records having a fine abrasive filler mixed in. Starting in the 1940s polyvinyl chloride became common, hence the name vinyl. The phonograph record was the primary medium used for music reproduction throughout the 20th century. It had co-existed with the phonograph cylinder from the late 1880s and had effectively superseded it by around 1912. Records retained the largest market share even when new formats such as the compact cassette were mass-marketed. Darren Tate (born 22 October 1972, in London) is a British record producer, film composer and club DJ. Biography As a classically trained musician, Tate has worked with international artists and songwriters with whom he collaborates regularly. He has also worked in the areas of television, film and musical theatre. Appearing in various television advertisements during his childhood, he attended boarding school for ten years. As he got older, he was trained in several classical musical instruments, studied Music at Leeds University and enjoyed success in television, film and musical theatre. Charles Henry Whiting (18 December 1926 – 24 July 2007), was a British writer and military historian and with some 350 books of fiction and non-fiction to his credit, under his own name and a variety of pseudonyms including Duncan Harding, Ian Harding, John Kerrigan, Leo Kessler, Klaus Konrad, K.N. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming.
