Blue's
''Blue's'' is the fourth studio album by Italian singer-songwriter Zucchero Fornaciari. It was released on 15 June 1987, with Fornaciari credited as "Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari". The album sold over 1.3 million copies. The success that Zucchero had experienced at music festivals in the early 1980s, including several appearances at the Sanremo Music Festival, eventually attracted the attention of foreign musicians. After travelling to the United States in the mid-1980s, he returned with a new band including some American musicians and a focus on the blues. Among them was keyboardist David Sancious. The tour following the release of the album included performances featuring Joe Cocker, Miles Davis, Eric Clapton, and B. B. King. Adelmo Fornaciari (; born 25 September 1955), more commonly known by his stage name Zucchero Fornaciari or simply Zucchero (), is an Italian singer, musician and songwriter. His stage name is the Italian word for "sugar", as his elementary teacher used to call him. His music is largely inspired by gospel, soul, blues and rock music, and alternates between Italian ballads and more rhythmic R&B- boogie-like pieces. He is credited as the "father of Italian blues", introducing blues to the big stage in Italy. He is one of the few European blues artists who still enjoys great international success. Corrado Rustici
Corrado Rustici (born 1957) is an Italian musician, songwriter and producer. Recording career Rustici was a founder member of the Naples-based progressive rock group Cervello. The band recorded the album '' Melos'' in 1973, with Rustici on guitar and vocals. In 1975, he joined with members of Osanna, including his brother Danilo, to form the group Nova. In 1976, they recorded the album ''Blink''. For the next two albums ''Vimana'' (1976) and ''Wings of Love'' (1977), they relocated to London and worked with prominent members of the progressive rock and jazz fusion scenes, including Narada Michael Walden and Phil Collins. Nova's final album, ''Sun City'' (1978) was recorded in New York. Miles Dewey Davis III (May 26, 1926September 28, 1991) was an American trumpeter, bandleader, and composer. Arthur Miles (born November 14, 1949 in Indianapolis) is an American blues, jazz and R&B musician, based in Italy. Early life Miles was born in Indiana but moved to California at a very young age, where he started his career as a singer in Richmond, San Francisco. The influence of the music of his uncle, the great guitarist Wes Montgomery, and his father's night club "Arthur's" allowed him to observe, absorb, and jam with some of the most famous blues, jazz and soul artists of the time, playing an important part in his musical education. ''Oro Incenso & Birra'' (Gold, Frankincense & Beer) is the fifth studio album released by the Italian singer-songwriter Zucchero Fornaciari on 13 June 1989. As with his previous album ''Blue's'', the album is credited to "Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari". Its title represents a pun on "''oro incenso e mirra''", the Italian for "gold, frankincense and myrrh", with ''mirra'' being replaced by ''birra'', meaning beer. It has sold an estimated 1.84 million copies in Italy and 2.5 million copies in Europe up to 1995, becoming the best-selling album internationally by an Italian until it was overtaken by Andrea Bocelli's album ''Romanza'' in 1997. "Senza una donna" () is a song written and performed by Italian singer and musician Zucchero on his fourth album, '' Blue's'' (1987). Originally recorded in Italian, in 1990 it was re-recorded in English with English singer and musician Paul Young. The English lyrics were contributed by Frank Musker. The song was then released as a single under the title "Senza una donna (Without a Woman)". The English version of the song reached number four on the UK Singles Chart and number two on both the German Singles Chart and the French Singles Chart. David Sancious
David Sancious (born November 30, 1953) is an American musician. He was an early member of Bruce Springsteen's backing group, the E Street Band, and contributed to the first three Springsteen albums, and again on '' Human Touch'' (1992), '' Tracks'' (1998), and '' Western Stars'' (2019). Sancious is a multi-instrumentalist but is best known as a keyboard player and guitarist. He left the E Street Band in 1974 to form his own band, Tone, and released several albums. He subsequently became a popular session and touring musician, most notably for Stanley Clarke, Narada Michael Walden, Zucchero Fornaciari, Eric Clapton, Peter Gabriel, Jack Bruce, and Sting among many others. Blues is a music genre and musical form which originated in the Deep South of the United States around the 1860s. Gino Paoli (; born 23 September 1934 in Monfalcone) is an Italian singer-songwriter. He is a seminal figure who has written a number of songs widely regarded as classics in Italian popular music, including: " Il cielo in una stanza", "Che cosa c'è", " Senza fine", "Quattro amici al bar" and "Sapore di sale".
