"Bloodlines" is the eleventh episode of the first season of The CW television series ''The Vampire Diaries'', and the eleventh episode of the series overall. It originally aired on January 21, 2010. The episode's story was written by Sean Reycraft and the teleplay by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. It was directed by David Barrett. Plot Elena (Nina Dobrev) is trapped in her car while a mysterious figure approaches. She screams and suddenly the stranger runs away as Damon (Ian Somerhalder) appears and gets her free. "Cosmic Love" is a song by English indie rock band Florence and the Machine from their debut studio album '' Lungs'' (2009). The song was written by the band's lead singer Florence Welch and keyboardist Isabella Summers, and produced by Paul Epworth, with additional production from Summers. "Cosmic Love" was released as the sixth (seventh, counting the re-release of " Dog Days Are Over") and final single from ''Lungs'' on 5 July 2010. Editors are an English rock band, formed in 2002 in Birmingham. "An End Has a Start" is the title track and second single from Editors' second album. The single was released on 3 September 2007 on CD, maxi-CD and 7" vinyl. The B-side "Open Up" first appeared on the Japanese edition of the album as a bonus track. The song was used by the American Movie Channel as the backtrack in a montage style commercial, giving the track considerable exposure that it otherwise would not have received.
