Smoke Fairies
Smoke Fairies (Katherine Blamire and Jessica Davies) are a British band hailing from Chichester. History Blamire and Davies met at school in Sussex during the late 1990s. They spent 2002 in New Orleans, where they absorbed American blues music. When they returned to England they discovered British folk music at the Sidmouth Folk Week Festival while working as car park attendants. Maria Mochnacz
Maria Mochnacz is a British photographer and music video director, best known for her collaborations with PJ Harvey. Life Mochnacz holds a degree in fine arts. She also attended a photography course in Weston-super-Mare. Notably, she does not use digital cameras in her photography. She has been working with various musicians since 1991, as well as doing fashion and fine art work. She directed and designed most of PJ Harvey's music videos and album covers, including the most recognizable ''Rid of Me'' (1993). She also collaborated with other artists such as Marianne Faithfull, Robert Miles, M People, Julie Feeney, Richard Ashcroft, Robert Plant, and Nick Cave. In the 1980s she was in a relationship with John Parish. She has a twin sister, Annie Mochnacz, who is a fashion designer. Kristofer Harris is an English record producer, mixer and writer. He is most noted for his work with Belle and Sebastian, Ghostpoet, Smoke Fairies, Clock Opera and Bear's Den. Biography Kristofer Harris grew up in Kent, United Kingdom, and began his musical career playing in his own bands Tourist and Story Books and also contributed as session musician on tours with Laura Marling, Smoke Fairies and Sea of Bees. In 2017 Harris mixed a series of singles for Scottish band Belle and Sebastian released in early 2018 on Matador Records. He co-mixed the Ghostpoet album "Dark Days + Canapés" released in 2017 on PIAS Recordings, contributed production to the Bears Den album "Islands" on Communion Records having worked closely with the band on the early "Agape" EP. Omnichord
The Omnichord is an electronic musical instrument introduced in 1981 by the Suzuki Musical Instrument Corporation. It allows users to play distinctive harp-like arpeggios produced through an electronic strum plate, simulating the experience of playing a stringed instrument. Originally conceived as an electronic autoharp, the Omnichord found popularity due to its portability, unique timbre, and kitsch value. The various Omnichord models feature a touch plate that the user strums, organ-like chords, preset drum rhythms and auto-bass line functionality. A grid of buttons allow the user to select major, minor, and 7th chords to be triggered by the strum plate, chord buttons and bass-line accompaniment. Production ceased with the OM-300 model in 1996. Folk Rock
Folk rock is a fusion genre of rock music with heavy influences from pop, English and American folk music. It arose in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom in the mid-1960s.
