Blissard
''Blissard'' is the fifth full-length studio album by the Norwegian band Motorpsycho. It was the first where the band tried to bring some more focused and pre-written songs to tape, as opposed to their earlier working technique of doing lot of experimentation and brainstorming in the studio. Bent Sæther
Bent Sæther (born 18 February 1969 in Oslo, Norway) is the bass guitarist and lead vocalist of the Norwegian psychedelic rock band Motorpsycho from the start in 1989. Background Sæther grew up in an apartment complex in Ammerud before moving to the more rural Ski, and to the family farm in Snåsa in Nord-Trøndelag at ten. He went to high school in Steinkjer, and attended the Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet in Trondheim, taking university courses in English and Social anthropology completing the former. Career In 1989 he started Motorpsycho with Hans Magnus Ryan and Kjell Runar "Killer" Jenssen. Johan Harstad (born 10 February 1979) is a Norwegian novelist, short story writer, playwright and graphic designer. He lives in Oslo. __TOC__ Writing career Fiction Harstad was born in Stavanger. He made his literary debut in 2001, with a collection of short prose entitled '' Herfra blir du bare eldre'' ('From here on in you only get older'). Motorpsycho (band)
Motorpsycho is a Norwegian rock band from Trondheim. Their music can generally be defined as progressive or psychedelic rock, but they also mix in elements from alternative, jazz, post-rock, pop, country and many other musical styles. The members of the band are Bent Sæther (born 18 February 1969, bass/vocals), Hans Magnus "Snah" Ryan (born 31 December 1969, guitar/vocals) and Tomas Järmyr (drums). Until March 2005, Håkon Gebhardt (born 21 June 1969) was the band's drummer. From December 2007 to May 2016 Kenneth Kapstad was the drummer of the band, being replaced by Tomas Järmyr, who joined in early 2017. Hans Magnus Ryan, alias "Snah", (born 31 December 1969 in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian rock musician (guitar & vocals), known as front figure of the band Motorpsycho. Career In 1989 Ryan and bassist Bent Sæther together with drummer Kjell Runar "Killer" Jenssen, formed Motorpsycho as an alternative metal band that very soon developed into a unique blend of heavy metal, grunge and indie rock, as well as exploring the sonic noise experiments that is associated with the Associate Member Deathprod. Håkon Gebhardt (born 21 June 1969 in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian musician, multi-instrumentalist and record producer living in Trondheim. Career Gebhardt developed his musical interests when he attended the Music program at Kongsbakken videregående skole and Trøndertun folkehøgskole. He is best known as the drummer in Motorpsycho (1991–2005). He has also released the album ''Gebhardt Plays with Himself'' (2000), and has been a member of the band HGH where he was mainly playing the banjo. Gebhardt also plays banjo in The International Tussler Society and in Ida Jenshus Band. ''Timothy's Monster'' is the fourth full-length studio album by Motorpsycho. It was released through EMI in Norway, marking their first album on a major label, and through the independent label Stickman Records in the rest of the world. The album was issued as a double-CD or triple-LP. A 4-CD version was released by Rune Grammofon and Stickman Records to tie in with Motorpsycho's appearance at the 2010 Øyafestivalen on August 14, 2010, where the band played the album in its entirety (albeit in a different running order). ''Angels and Daemons at Play'' is the sixth full-length studio album by the Norway, Norwegian rock music, rock-band Motorpsycho (band), Motorpsycho. The album was originally released as three EP's; "Babyscooter" (released January 27), "Have Spacesuit Will Travel" (February 3) and "Lovelight" (February 10). Only 500 copies were pressed of each. It was later also released as a single CD and on Double album, double LP, the latter featuring the two bonus tracks "Have Spacesuit, Will Travel" (from the EP of the same name), and "Back to Source" (to be released on the ''Ozone'' EP the following year). Ole Henrik Moe
Ole Henrik Moe (11 January 1920 – 29 July 2013) was a Norwegian pianist, art historian and art critic. He was born in Lillehammer, and is the brother of archaeologist Anne Stine Ingstad. During World War II he was a member of the intelligence organization XU. He was arrested in October 1942, and was incarcerated in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp from 1943 to 1945. He was manager of the Henie-Onstad Art Centre from 1966 to 1989. Among his works are ''Slekten Knagenhjelm og Kaupanger'' from 1960, and biographies of Lars Hertervig and Inger Sitter. Rune Grammofon is a Norwegian record label founded in 1998 by Rune Kristoffersen. Rune Grammofon's reputation for lovingly issued experimental electronic music, jazz, and improvised music by Norwegian artists has grown over the years with its artists being featured heavily in magazines such as ''The Wire'' and '' Plan B''.
