Blešno
Blešno is a municipality and village in Hradec Králové District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants. Etymology The name was probably derived from the false fleabane plant, called ''blešník'' in Czech. According to some sources, the name is derived from ''blecha'' (i.e. 'flea') and derisively meant "full of fleas". Geography Blešno is located about east of Hradec Králové. It lies in a flat landscape in the Orlice Table. The Orlice River flows along the southern municipal border. History The first written mention of Blešno is from 1496, when it was bought by Mikuláš Trčka of Lípa and became part of the Opočno estate. After the estate was confiscated in 1636, Emperor Ferdinand II donated the estate to the Colloredo family. The Colloredo family, from 1789 known as the Colloredo-Mansfeld family, owned Blešno until the establishment of a sovereign municipality in 1849. Orlice
The Orlice (, ) is a river in the Czech Republic, with a brief stretch in Poland. It is a left tributary of the Elbe River. It flows through the Hradec Králové Region. It is formed by the confluence of the Divoká Orlice and Tichá Orlice rivers. Together with the Divoká Orlice, which is its main source, the Orlice is long, of which is in the Czech Republic, making it the 14th longest river in the country. Without the Divoká Orlice, it is long. Etymology The name is derived from the Slavic word ''orel'', i.e. 'eagle' (literally "female eagle"). Flea
Flea, the common name for the order (biology), order Siphonaptera, includes 2,500 species of small flightless insects that live as external parasites of mammals and birds. Fleas live by hematophagy, ingesting the blood of their hosts. Adult fleas grow to about long, are usually dark in color, and have bodies that are "flattened" sideways or narrow, enabling them to move through their hosts' fur or feathers. House Of Colloredo-Mannsfeld
The House of Colloredo-Mansfeld () is an originally Italian noble family of which a branch came to Austria in the late 16th century. There they were raised to barons in 1588, imperial counts in 1727 and imperial princes (in primogeniture) in 1763. They obtained Opočno Castle in the Kingdom of Bohemia in 1634 and acquired numerous further estates in Bohemia and Austria. In 1945 they were expropriated and expelled from the Czechoslovak Republic, but returned after 1990 and had parts of their former estates restituted. Ferdinand II (9 July 1578 – 15 February 1637) was Holy Roman Emperor, King of Bohemia, King of Hungary, Hungary, and List of Croatian monarchs, Croatia from 1619 until his death in 1637.
