''Bless a Brand New Angel'' is the sixth studio album from American singer Benny Mardones, released by Crave in 1998. Background Both ''Bless a Brand New Angel'' and its title track (which was released as a single) failed to generate commercial success. As "Bless a Brand New Angel" began generating airplay in the United States, Crave was shut down in July 1998. On June 19, 1998, the ''Gavin Report'' listed "Bless a Brand New Angel" under adult contemporary as "chartbound", with the single having generated 46 reports and 671 spins. In 1999, ''Bless a Brand New Angel'' was reissued as ''Angel'' by Fuel 2000. The title track achieved further airplay, with the ''Gavin Report'' reporting 87 spins and placing the song at No. 35 on their Adult Contemporary chart. Critical reception Tomas Mureika of AllMusic described ''Bless a Brand New Angel'' as "standard fare" from Mardones, but praised his vocals as "strong". Michael Kamen
Michael Arnold Kamen (April 15, 1948 – November 18, 2003) was an American composer (especially of film scores), orchestral arranger, orchestral conductor, songwriter, record producer and musician. Early life Michael Arnold Kamen was born in New York City, the second of four sons. His father, Saul Kamen, was a dentist, and his mother, Helen, was a teacher. He was of Jewish heritage. While attending the High School of Music & Art in New York City, Kamen became friends with Martin Fulterman (later known as Mark Snow), who would compose the theme music for ''The X-Files'', among other projects. Bruce Watson (born June 4, 1959) is an American guitarist best known for playing in the rock band Foreigner. He also sings, plays mandolin, bass guitar, and slide guitar. Leslie David Reed (24 July 1935 – 15 April 2019) was an English songwriter, arranger, musician and light-orchestra leader. His major songwriting partners were Gordon Mills, Barry Mason, and Geoff Stephens, although he wrote songs with many others such as Roger Greenaway, Roger Cook, Peter Callander, and Johnny Worth.
