Bleddfa
Bleddfa is a village in which lies on the road from Knighton to Penybont and is located in the community of Llangunllo, Powys, Wales. It is 5 miles from Knighton, 57 miles (92 km) from Cardiff and 141 miles (226 km) from London. Two hillforts belonging to around 200 B.C guard the village: Clog Hill above the village, and Llysin Hill to the west. Bleddfa's Grade I listed church is dedicated to St Mary Magdalene and was built around the 13th century. Part of the nave was used in the past as a schoolroom. Bristish Listed Buildings. Brecon and Radnorshire ( cy, Brycheiniog a Sir Faesyfed) is a county constituency in Wales of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Knighton, Powys
Knighton ( cy, Tref-y-clawdd or ) is a cross-border market town and community on the River Teme, straddling the border between Powys, Wales and Shropshire, England. The Teme is not navigable in its higher reaches and the border does not follow its course exactly. Originally an Anglo-Saxon settlement, Knighton is located on Offa's Dyke, the ancient earthwork that divided the two countries. It later became a Norman defensive border town. Penybont
Penybont (also sometimes spelled Pen-y-Bont) is a small village in Radnorshire, Powys, Wales. The population of the community at the 2011 census was 428. The community includes the settlement of Llandegley. Penybont colliery The Penybont colliery was opened by the Jaynes Tillery Colliery in 1851. In the 1880s the mine was taken over by Powell's Steam Coal Company Ltd who deepened the mine in 1886. (Note: This colliery is in Abertillery, nowhere near Penybont in Radnorshire). A community ( cy, cymuned) is a division of land in Wales that forms the lowest tier of local government in Wales. Welsh communities are analogous to civil parishes in England.
