Bleach (TV Series)
''Bleach'' (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese anime television series based on the manga series ''Bleach (manga), Bleach'' by Tite Kubo. It was produced by Pierrot (company), Pierrot and directed by Noriyuki Abe. The series aired on TV Tokyo from October 2004 to March 2012, spanning 366 episodes. The story follows the adventures of the teenaged Ichigo Kurosaki after he obtains the powers of a List of Soul Reapers in Bleach, Soul Reaper—a death personification similar to the Personifications of death, Grim Reaper—from a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki. His newfound powers allow him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits Hollows and guiding departed good souls to the afterlife. In addition to adapting the manga series it is based on, the anime periodically includes original self-contained storylines and characters not found in the source material. Rukia Kuchiki
is a fictional character in the anime and manga series ''Bleach (manga), Bleach'' created by Tite Kubo. In the series, she is a Soul Reaper, (死神, Shinigami, literally 'Death God'), in charge of slaying and eradicating corrupted souls called hollows, whose unfortunate fate lies destined for ruthless killing and feeding of living beings. Along with eradicating hollows, Rukia's primary objective as a Shinigami is to pass on the souls of those who have failed to pass on those who have yet to cross by means of konso. Adult Swim was an Australian adult-oriented free-to-air television block that was last aired from Saturday and Sunday nights on 9Go!. It was originally a separate network that shared channel space with Cartoon Network, starting in 2003 until 31 December 2007. History Adult Swim was first broadcast on Cartoon Network Australia in December 2005 before it was taken down on 31 December 2007. The block is no longer shown on Cartoon Network, however comedy shows started airing on The Comedy Channel on 11 March 2008. Hell Verse
is a 2010 Japanese animated film directed by Noriyuki Abe. It is the fourth and final animated film adaptation of the anime and manga series ''Bleach''. In the film, Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends traverse through the world of Hell in order to save his younger sister, Yuzu. The film's theme song is "Save the One, Save the All", performed by T.M.Revolution and its screenplay was written by Natsuko Takahashi and Ookubo Masahiro, with Tite Kubo, author of the manga, overseeing the production. The film was released in Japanese theatres on December 4, 2010 (in between episodes 299 and 300) and in the United States dubbed in November. The DiamondDust Rebellion
is the second animated film adaptation of the anime and manga series ''Bleach''. The film is directed by Noriyuki Abe, and co-written by Michiko Yokote and Masahiro Ōkubo, and the theatrical release was on December 22, 2007 in between episodes 153 and 154. The theme music for the film is by Sambomaster. The DVD of the film was released on September 6, 2008. To promote the film, the opening and closing credits of the ''Bleach'' anime from episode 151-154 use footage from the film. Kubo also published a special manga chapter focusing on Hitsugaya's past to further promote the film. The English release of the DVD was on September 8, 2009, and it was aired on Adult Swim on December 5. ''Bleach: Memories of Nobody'' is the first animated film adaptation of the anime and manga series ''Bleach''. Directed by Noriyuki Abe and written by Masashi Sogo, the film was first released in Japanese theaters on December 16, 2006. Tomohisa Taguchi
is a Japanese animator, director, storyboard artist and screenwriter. Personal life Taguchi was born and raised in Sōja. He graduated from Osaka Seikei University Faculty of Arts in 2007 and worked as a production assistant at Anime International Company. While attending college, he wanted to make live-action films. Anime Central was a short-lived British television channel owned by CSC Media Group. The channel launched on 13 September 2007. It was first announced on 5 August 2007, though its license first appeared on the Ofcom website in January (initially named "Toon TV", this was changed to Anime Central in June). The channel ran from 9pm to 6am, free-to-air on Sky's Digital TV Platform, channel 199; and it was the only channel broadcast in the UK and Ireland which was dedicated solely to showing anime. Anime was only broadcast between 9pm and 6am. The channel originally timeshared with Pop Girl (another CSC Media Group channel) but more Bandwidth (signal processing), bandwidth was made available removing the need for the channel to timeshare.
