Blaster (Star Wars)
A blaster is a fictional gun that appears in the ''Star Wars'' Universe of Star Wars, universe. Lucasfilm defines the blaster as "ranged energized particle weaponry". Many blasters mirror the appearance, functions, components, operation, and usage of real life firearms. They are also said to be able to be modified with certain add-ons and attachments, with Han Solo, Han Solo’s blaster being said to be illegally modified to provide greater damage without increasing power consumption. The iconic E-11, a standard mid-range weapon used primarily by Stormtrooper (Star Wars), stormtroopers, is based on the real-life Sterling sub-machine gun used by the British Armed Forces, armed forces of the United Kingdom over the second half of the 20th century. Stormtroopers are fictional soldiers in the ''Star Wars'' franchise created by George Lucas. Sterling Sub-machine Gun
The Sterling submachine gun is a British submachine gun (SMG). It was tested by the British Army in 1944–1945, but did not start to replace the Sten until 1953. A successful and reliable design, it remained standard issue in the British Army until 1994, when it began to be replaced by the L85A1, a bullpup assault rifle. Ben Burtt
Benjamin Burtt Jr. (born July 12, 1948) is an American sound designer, film director, film editor, screenwriter, and voice actor. As a sound designer, his credits include the ''Star Wars'' and ''Indiana Jones'' film series, '' Invasion of the Body Snatchers'' (1978), '' E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial'' (1982), ''WALL-E'' (2008), and ''Star Trek'' (2009). Burtt is notable for popularizing the Wilhelm scream in-joke and creating many of the iconic sound effects heard in the ''Star Wars'' film franchise, including the 'voice' of R2-D2, the lightsaber hum, the sound of the blaster guns, the heavy-breathing sound of Darth Vader, and creating the Ewoks’ language, Ewokese. Post-production, also known simply as post, is part of the process of filmmaking, video production, audio production, and photography. Post-production includes all stages of production occurring after principal photography or recording individual program segments.
