Blake Miller (American Football, Born 1889)
William Blake Miller (May 3, 1889 – January 9, 1987) was an American football player and coach. Miller played college football at Michigan Agricultural College (now known as Michigan State University) from 1912 to 1915. He was selected as the captain of the 1915 team and a first-team End (American football), end on the 1914 All-Western college football team. In November 1915, Miller was declared ineligible to compete further in intercollegiate athletics after it was revealed that he had played in two professional football games with the Detroit Heralds. After leaving college, Miller served as the head coach of the Central Michigan Chippewas football team in 1916 and compiled a 1–5 record. In 1919, he returned to Michigan Agricultural College as an assistant coach responsible for the backfield. Blake Randolph Miller (born August 23, 1968) is an American former professional football center and coach who played one season in the National Football League (NFL) for the Detroit Lions. He played college football for the LSU Tigers and also had stints with the New England Patriots and New York Giants. He later was a coach. Early life Miller was born on August 23, 1968, in Alexandria, Louisiana. He attended Alexandria Senior High School, where he won two varsity letters and was a starting offensive tackle and long snapper. As a senior, he was named first-team Class AAAA All-State. Blake Miller (born July 9, 1972) was a professional lacrosse player from Manhasset, New York. He is an offensive-minded Midfielder. Miller graduated from Hofstra University in 1996 where he was an Honorable Mention All-American. MLL career He played for Major League Lacrosse with the Long Island Lizards from 2004-2014. He was named the 2004 offensive player of the year and is a three time Major League Lacrosse All Star. He has also played for Team USA in the World Lacrosse Championships in 1998 and 2006. NLL career From 1998 to 2004 played indoor lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League with the New York Saints, New Jersey Storm, and Anaheim Storm. Miller did not play in 2005 or 2006. Blake Miller (born February 25, 2004) is an American football offensive tackle for the Clemson Tigers. Early life Miller was born on February 25, 2004, and grew up in Strongsville, Ohio. He attended Strongsville High School and became a two-way starter as a lineman as a 14-year-old. He was named all-state, all-region and all-district in both his junior and senior seasons for his play on the offensive line, where he did not allow a single sack. He was ranked by 247Sports as the ninth-best player in the state and the 23rd-best offensive tackle nationally.
