Blagnac
Blagnac (; ) is a Communes of France, commune of the greater Toulouse area in the Haute-Garonne Departments of France, department in southwestern France. The city hosts the aviation museum Aeroscopia. It is the third-largest suburb of the city of Toulouse, although governed by a separate council, and is adjacent to it on the northwest side. It is a member of the Toulouse Métropole. Geography The river Touch River, Touch forms part of the commune's southern border, then flows into the Garonne, which forms all of its eastern border. 38% percent of the area is made up of green spaces, mainly along the river Garonne and in parks. Blagnac Rugby, previously known as Blagnac Sporting Club Rugby and commonly known as Blagnac, is a French rugby union team that currently takes part in Nationale, the third-tier of the countries rugby system. The club is currently attempting to make a comeback to the professional ranks after having been relegated due to both sporting and financial issues. In 2007-08, the club played in France's second professional level, Rugby Pro D2, but finished bottom of the table. This automatically led to their relegation to the first amateur level, Fédérale 1, but a postseason audit revealed financial problems serious enough that French sporting authorities forcibly relegated them further to Fédérale 2. Aeroscopia
Aeroscopia is a French aerospace museum, located at the north-western edge of Toulouse, in the commune of Blagnac. It was opened on 14 January 2015. This museum notably hosts two Concorde airliners. Building Designed by the firm Cardete and Huet Architectes, the hall housing the planes has an ovoid section and forms an arc of a circle around a body of water, and is extended by an uncovered surface of 5,000 m2 allowing the exhibition of other devices. It is connected by a corridor to the Showroom, a 1,000 m2 rectangular building. This houses the reception, the shop as well as the "Telemetry room" which introduces the visit of the Airbus factories. The hall was designed as a response to the A380 assembly lines it faces, so its rounded lines and black color contrast with the rectilinear shape and mirror effect of the factory doors.
