Black Ops (TV Series)
''Black Ops'' is a British television comedy series made for BBC One starring Hammed Animashaun, Gbemisola Ikumelo and Akemnji Ndifornyen. The latter two also being co-creators, writers and executive producers. The first series aired in May 2023. A second series was commissioned in August 2023. Synopsis In East London, Dom and Kay are two police community support officers who join the Greater London Police and find themselves working undercover. Gbemisola Ikumelo
Gbemisola Ikumelo is a British actress, comedian and writer. She has won a BAFTA award for her short ''Brain in Gear'' and best female comedy performance from the Royal Television Society for her role in her show ''Famalam''. Life and career Ikumelo aspired to be a serious actress and at fifteen she was in the National Youth Theatre. She went on to study in Scotland at the Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Her break came when she was cast in ''Sunny D'' in 2015 playing the main character (Dane Baptiste)'s twin sister. She came to notice when her sketch show ''Famalam'' appeared on the BBC. In 2021 she received an award for best female comedy performance in ''Famalam'' from the Royal Television Society. Marek Larwood
Marek Ryan Larwood (born 2 June 1976) is an English comedian and actor. He is best known for the BBC Three sketch show '' Rush Hour'' and for being one third of the comedy trio '' We Are Klang''. Early life Born in Norwich, Norfolk, Larwood lived in Wales before moving to the Isle of Wight. His forename is of Polish origin, as his mother had seen a 1975 documentary about a Polish schoolboy with a heart defect, who was looking forward to an operation. The operation was unsuccessful, and Marek's mother thought to name her son after the Polish schoolboy. Career Stand-up comedy Larwood won the Laughing Horse New Act of The Year competition in 2003. Tawiah (pronounced Taa-We-Ah) is a British alternative-soul singer and songwriter based in London. Early life Tawiah was born to Ghanaian parents in Battersea, South West London, where she grew up with her two brothers on the 18th floor of a council estate. She describes her childhood as filled with church, laughter and playing out on the block. Tawiah was raised in a Pentecostal household honing her early singing capabilities as a young praise and worship leader in the Gospal Choir. The London Borough of Waltham Forest () is a London borough in north-east London, England. Its population is estimated to be 276,983 in 2019.
