Black Cobra (band)
Black Cobra is an American heavy metal duo from San Francisco. The band was formed in 2001 by former Cavity guitarist Jason Landrian and Acid King bassist and Gammera guitarist Rafael Martinez. Their first release, a self-titled and self-released 7-inch EP, containing the three tracks "Interceptor", "Fall and Fall Again", and "Silverback", was engineered by Martinez and issued on August 27, 2004. Eternal Elysium
are a Japanese doom metal band founded in 1991. History Eternal Elysium have recorded six albums and six splits/EPs over their career. They were formed in 1991 by guitarist/vocalist Yukito Okazaki and have gone through numerous line-up changes over the years. Okazaki was joined by bassist Atsutoshi Tachimoto and drummer Jiro Murakami for some demo recordings and the first album, ''Faithful''. In 1993 both Tachimoto and Murakami departed in Okazaki enlisted a new rhythm section consisting of bassist Jun Kawasaki and drummer Yashuhiro Okada. This line-up soon folded and Okaziki brought in Eiichi Okuyama on bass and Takashi Kuroda on drums. This line-up was put on hold when Okazaki fell ill and had to cancel tour plans. Sludge metal (also known as sludge doom or simply sludge) is an Extreme metal, extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that combines elements of doom metal and hardcore punk. The genre generally includes slow tempos, down-tuned guitars and nihilistic lyrics discussing poverty, drug addiction and pollution. The sound of sludge metal has its origins in California hardcore punk bands in the early-to-mid-1980s like Black Flag (band), Black Flag, Flipper (band), Flipper and Fang (band), Fang, who began slowing their tempos and embracing the influence of Black Sabbath. Cavity (band)
Cavity is an American sludge metal band from Miami, Florida. They first formed in 1992, releasing a multitude of albums and singles before breaking up in 2003. Steve Brooks and Juan Montoya would go on to play in Torche and Floor. Anthony Vialon, Henry Wilson and Beatriz Monteavaro also played in Floor. Jason Landrian went on to form Black Cobra. In 2015, the group reunited and toured the United States for the first time since their dissolution. The group issued their first album since their reunion, titled ''After Death'', through Valley King in 2017.
