Black Canary (comic Book)
''Black Canary'' is the name of several comic book titles featuring the character Black Canary and published by DC Comics. Black Canary first appeared in ''Flash Comics'' #86 as a guest hero/villain for character Johnny Thunder appearing for five issues until gaining her own feature starting with issue #92 through the series' end in #104. Starman and Black Canary Black Canary headlined two issues of ''The Brave and the Bold'' with Starman in a trial run from issues #61 and #62 that did not lead to a series. Unpublished 1984 miniseries A miniseries by writer Greg Weisman and artist Mike Sekowsky was planned in 1984. The first issue of the series was pencilled, but the project was ultimately shelved due to the character being used in writer/artist Mike Grell's high-profile '' Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters'' series. Dick Giordano
Richard Joseph Giordano (; July 20, 1932 – March 27, 2010) was an American comics artist and editor whose career included introducing Charlton Comics' "Action Heroes" stable of superheroes and serving as executive editor of DC Comics. Early life Dick Giordano, an only child, was born in New York City on July 20, 1932, in the borough of Manhattan to Josephine Labruzzi and Graziano "Jack" Giordano. He attended the School of Industrial Art. Career Charlton Comics Beginning as a freelance artist at Charlton Comics in 1952, Giordano contributed artwork to dozens of the company's comics, including such Western titles as '' Annie Oakley'', '' Billy the Kid'', and '' Wyatt Earp'', the war comic '' Fightin' Army'', and scores of covers. Green Arrow
Green Arrow is a superhero who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Mort Weisinger and designed by George Papp, he first appeared in ''More Fun Comics'' No. 73 on September 19, 1941 (cover dated November 1941), the same issue that debuted Aquaman. His secret identity, real name is Oliver Jonas Queen, a wealthy businessman, owner of Queen Industries, and a well-known celebrity in Star City (comics), Star City. He uses this position to hide the fact that he is Green Arrow. Partly inspired by Robin Hood, Green Arrow is an archery, archer who uses his skills to fight crime in his home cities of Star City and Seattle, as well as alongside his fellow superheroes as a member of the Justice League.
