Bjørnfjell Station
Bjørnfjell Station () is a railway station in the village of Bjørnfjell, Nordland, Bjørnfjell in Narvik Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located along the Ofotbanen railway line, between Søsterbekk Station and Riksgränsen Station (which is in Sweden). It is about from Narvik Station and from the Swedish border. The Swedish Iron Ore Line was extended to the town of Narvik (town), Narvik in 1902. Increased traffic made a new station between Katterat Station (then Hundalen Station) and the Swedish border desirable, and the Old Bjørnfjell Station was opened in the fall of 1913. The present Bjørnfjell Station, located further east, was opened in 1925. The old station continued to exist as a stop until 1956. The elevation of the current station is . Bjørnfjell, which means "Bear Mountain" in Norwegian, is also the name of the mountain (peak elevation 760 meters) near which the station is located. Narvik Station
__NOTOC__ Narvik is a railway station located in Narvik Municipality in Nordland, Norway on the Ofoten Line. The station is located about from the end of the line at the Port of Narvik. It is served by two daily passenger trains, one to Stockholm (an overnight train, see below) and one to Luleå, both go via Kiruna and Boden, Sweden, Boden, all these destinations are in Sweden. In 2024 these passenger services are operated by Vy Tåg, a subsidiary of the former Norwegian State Railways which won the operating contract, but SJ AB, SJ, a state-owned passenger train operator in Sweden, has won back the contract from 15 December 2024 onwards. European route E10 is the second shortest Class A road which is part of the International E-road network. It begins in Å, Norway, and ends in Luleå, Sweden. The road is about in length. The Norwegian part of the road is also named Kong Olav Vs vei (). The road follows the route Å – Leknes – Svolvær – Gullesfjordbotn – Bogen (Evenes) – Bjerkvik – Kiruna – Töre – Luleå. The Iron Ore Line () is a long railway line between Riksgränsen and Boden in Norrbotten County, Sweden, owned by Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration). The line also contains two branches, from Kiruna to Svappavaara and from Gällivare to Koskullskulle. The term is often colloquially used to also include the Ofoten Line, from Riksgränsen to Narvik in Norway, and the northernmost part of the Main Line Through Upper Norrland from Boden to Luleå. Riksgränsen Station
Riksgränsen Station (, ) is a railway station located at Riksgränsen near the Norway–Sweden border, into Sweden. The station opened in 1902 as part of the Ofoten Line and Iron Ore Line, and was the location of the switching between Norwegian and Swedish operations. The station's official inauguration took place on July 14, 1903, by King Oscar II, Crown Prince Gustaf, Prince Carl and Princess Ingeborg. Originally it had a train shed and a locomotive depot and several tracks, but they have later been removed, partly in connection with electrification around 1920. Now (as of 2021) the station is only a train stop with platform and single track, not a technical railway station.
