Bjørn Storberget
Bjørn Storberget (July 5, 1921 – September 29, 1999) was a Norwegian writer. Storberget was born in Langesund. Storberget's career was connected with the Norwegian postal service. He started working for the postal service in 1938, and in 1939 he worked as a student at the Langesund post office. He also performed postal work in Larvik and Kristiansand. He took the postal examination in 1941. In 1942 he was employed as the head postal assistant in Vadsø, and on January 1, 1947, at the post office in Asker. Storberget took over editing of the magazine ''POST'' in 1956 in addition to his usual work in Asker. Alongside his job as an editor, Storberget was also responsible for external information, such as preparing brochures and maintaining contact with the press. Gradually, the information service or editor's office was expanded, and Storberget became involved in the stamp service, among other things. Langesund
is the administrative centre of the municipality of Bamble, Norway. The town of Langesund was established as a municipality 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). It was merged with Bamble 1 January 1964. In the early days, Langesund was one of the most important shipping towns in Norway. Peter Wessel Tordenskiold got one of his ships built in Langesund, '' Løvendals Gallej''. It was known as Longsound in English in the 1800s. It is possible to visit the remains of the old Coastal Fortress on Langesundstangen on the extreme end of the Langesund peninsula. The fort was established during the Second World War by Nazi Germany and later used by the Norwegian Coastal Artillery and Home Guard until 1993. Posten Norge () is the name of the Norwegian mail, postal service. The company, owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications had a monopoly until 2016 on distribution of letters weighing less than 50g throughout the country. There are 30 post offices in Norway, in addition to 1400 outlets in retail stores. Larvik (town)
is a town/city in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The town is the administrative centre of the large municipality which stretches inland for over from the coast. The town is located near the Skaggerak coast, wedged between the Larviksfjorden to the south, the lake Farris to the north, and the river Lågen along the east side of the town. The town was established in 1671. The town became a self-governing municipality on 1 January 1838 under the formannskapsdistrikt law. Vadsø ( sme, Čáhcesuolu ; fkv, Vesisaari) is a town in Vadsø Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The town is the administrative centre of both Vadsø Municipality and Finnmark county, and is the largest town in East Finnmark. Asker ( no, Asker), properly called Askerbygda in Norwegian, is a district and former municipality in Akershus, Norway. The King's Medal of Merit (Norwegian: ''Kongens fortjenstmedalje'') is a Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service. It is divided in two classes: gold and silver. The medal in gold is rewarded for extraordinary achievements of importance to the nation and society. The medal in silver may be awarded for lesser achievements. Kristian Henriksen
Kristian "Svarten" Henriksen (3 March 1911 – 8 February 2004) was a Norwegian footballer and coach. As a player, Henriksen was a wing half who played for Sarpsborg, Lyn and Frigg. With Lyn, he won the 1945 and the 1946 Norwegian Football Cup. He also played 28 times for the Norwegian national team. ''Skøytekongen'' (The Skating King) is a black-and-white Norwegian drama film from 1953 directed by Nils R. Müller. The script was written by Sigbjørn Hølmebakk based on a concept by Bjørn Storberget. The film stars Lasse Kolstad and Sidsel Meyer. Plot Skating king Hans Hellemo grew up under difficult conditions.
