Bjørn Blakstad
Bjørn Blakstad (9 January 1926 – 11 July 2012) was a Norwegian diplomat. He was born in Hisøy, and is a cand.jur. by education. He started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1952. He became a deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1973. He then served as an ambassor; to Japan from 1976 to 1981, to Spain from 1981 to 1988 and to the Netherlands from 1988 to 1994. Hisøy
Hisøy (historically: ''Hisø'') is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1881 until 1992 when it was merged into the municipality of Arendal in what is now Agder county. At the time of its dissolution, it was the smallest municipality in the whole county. The municipality encompassed the islands of Hisøya, Gjervoldsøy, Havsøya, Ærøya, Store Torungen, Lille Torungen, and several other small, unpopulated islands. The administrative centre was the village of Kolbjørnsvik on Hisøya island. Hisøy Church was the main church for the municipality, located in the village of His in the central part of Hisøya. Norwegian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs
The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Norwegian or ''Utenriksdepartementet''; or ''Utanriksdepartementet''; UD) is the foreign ministry of the Kingdom of Norway. It was established on June 7, 1905, the same day the Parliament of Norway (Storting) decided to dissolve the personal union with Sweden. The ministry is headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, currently Espen Barth Eide, who is a minister in the Støre cabinet that has governed since 14 October 2021. The ministry also holds a position of Minister of International Development. This position was established by the second Willoch cabinet in 1983, and existed until October 2013 when it was abolished by the Solberg cabinet and the foreign minister became the sole head of the ministry. Leif Hans Mevik (22 January 1930 – 13 October 2015) was a Norwegian diplomat. He was born in Gildeskål Municipality, and was a cand.philol. by education. He started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1961. He served as the Norwegian ambassador to OSCE in Vienna from 1980 to 1988, to Spain from 1988 to 1992 and to NATO in Brussels from 1992 to 1997.
