Bispelokket
Bispelokket (literally "bishops lid") was a Norwegian three-level stack interchange roundabout in Bjørvika, Oslo. European Route E18 and Norwegian National Road 162 (until 2010: National Road 4) jointed at this point, which also served as the official traffical centre of the city. The new roundabout at Postgirobygget is from October 31, 2011, the new traffical centre of Oslo. Bispelokket gradually opened between 1966 and 1968, and was visited by at the most 140,000 vehicles a day until Bjørvikatunnelen was introduced as a complete tunnel system in 2010 and the amount declined to 40,000. Bispelokket ceased to function as a roundabout on October 28, 2011, at 10 pm. The physical demolition was launched by the Norwegian prime minister Jens Stoltenberg, November 4, 2011, at 1:46 pm. Bjørvika
Bjørvika is a neighborhood in the Sentrum borough of Oslo, Norway. The area is an inlet in the inner Oslofjord, situated between Gamlebyen and Akershus Fortress. It serves as an outlet for the river Akerselva. Since the 2000s, it has been undergoing urban redevelopment, being transformed from a container port. When completed, the Bjørvika neighborhood will be a new cultural and urban center in Oslo. The multi-purpose medium-rises of the Barcode Project dominates the skyline to the north; to the east the residential area of Sørenga is under construction. The National Opera is located at Bjørvika, and both the Oslo Public Library and the Munch/Stenersen museum is currently under construction here, the latter replacing the existing Munch Museum in 2020. Jens Stoltenberg
Jens Stoltenberg (born 16 March 1959) is a Norwegian politician who has been serving as the 13th secretary general of NATO since 2014. A member of the Norwegian Labour Party, he previously served as the 34th prime minister of Norway from 2000 to 2001, and again from 2005 until 2013. Fjord City
The Fjord City ( no, Fjordbyen) is an urban renewal project for the waterfront part of the centre of Oslo, Norway. The first redevelopment was at Aker Brygge during the 1980s. Bjørvika and Tjuvholmen followed up during the 2000s, while the remaining parts of the Port of Oslo will be developed in the 2010s. The port will be relocated to Sørhavna. The planning is performed by the Oslo Waterfront Planning Office. Major investments in the area include a new Oslo Central Station, Central Railway Station, an already completed Oslo Opera House, and the commercial buildings in the Barcode Project. Sinsenkrysset
The Sinsen Interchange ( no, Sinsenkrysset) is a heavily trafficked, multilevel road junction in Oslo, Norway. It connects the highways Norwegian National Road 150 and Norwegian National Road 4 ( Trondheimsveien). The junction has existed since the 19th century, and has grown considerably in size since then. It was enhanced with a roundabout in 1957, and was connected with National road 150 in 1962. The increase in traffic was greater than the capacity of the junction, and thus a bridge was constructed that redirected Trondheimsveien above the roundabout. Further restructuring was done in 1992, when a local tramway line was redirected outside of the interchange, and in 1994, when Riksvei 150 was directed below the roundabout. Postgirobygget (building)
Posthuset (known until 2000 as Postgirobygget) is a commercial building located at Biskop Gunnerus' gate 14 in the city center of Oslo, Norway. The building was designed by Norwegian architect Rolf Christian Krognes and first constructed in 1975. It has 26 floors and at 111 meter in height, is the second tallest building in Oslo. In 2003, the building was thoroughly revamped: seven floors were added and the building was split in two towers. After the revamp, '' Aftenposten'' newspaper moved into the building. Posthuset is the property of the Norwegian state-owned real estate company, Entra Eiendom AS.
