Biskitts
''The Biskitts'' is an American animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions from 1983 to 1984 and aired on CBS. The series lasted for only one season; only 13 episodes were produced. '' Shirt Tales'' replaced the show in its time slot the following year. ''The Biskitts'' returned to that same time slot in March 1985 but only aired reruns in the remainder of that season. Following the series' retirement from CBS, like many other cartoons, it was acquired by the Armed Forces Network and shown throughout much of the 1980s, mainly as entertainment for children of deployed American servicemen in Asia and Europe. Plot The Biskitts are a group of tiny anthropomorphic dogs who live on Biskitt Island and are committed to guarding the crown jewels of Biskitt Castle. Kenneth Mars
Kenneth Mars (April 4, 1935 – February 12, 2011) was an American actor. He appeared in two Mel Brooks films: as the deranged Nazi playwright Franz Liebkind in '' The Producers'' (1967) and Police Inspector Hans Wilhelm Friedrich Kemp in '' Young Frankenstein'' (1974). He also appeared in Peter Bogdanovich's '' What's Up, Doc?'' (1972) as well as Woody Allen's '' Radio Days'' (1987) and '' Shadows and Fog'' (1991). Shirt Tales
''Shirt Tales'' are characters that were created in 1980 by greeting card designer Janet Elizabeth Manco and were featured on Hallmark Cards greeting cards. The characters were adapted into a 1982–1983 animated series for television, by Hanna-Barbera Productions, which aired on NBC. ''Shirt Tales'' are also featured on T-shirts, stuffed toys, and other merchandise in Japan since 1980. Cards Hallmark Cards released the homonymous line of greeting cards with animal characters wearing T-shirts upon which was a message. Those cards were among Hallmark's best sellers at that time, which led the company to team with Hanna-Barbera Productions to adapt the ''Shirt Tales'' into a Saturday morning cartoon, which premiered on NBC on September 18, 1982. Kip King (born Jerome Charles Kattan; August 11, 1937 – July 15, 2010) was an American film, television and voice actor. He is the father of American television sketch comedian Chris Kattan. Life and career King was born Jerome Charles Kattan in Chicago, Illinois, the son of an Iraqi-Jewish father and a Polish-Jewish mother. His father, who was from Baghdad, was a letter carrier for T. Marshall Efron (February 3, 1938 – September 30, 2019) was an American actor and humorist originally known for his work on the listener-sponsored Pacifica radio stations WBAI New York and KPFK Los Angeles, and later for the PBS television show '' The Great American Dream Machine'' (the original showcase of Chevy Chase). Richard Beals (March 16, 1927 – May 29, 2012) was an American actor and radio performer, who performed many voices in his career, which spanned the period from the early 1950s into the 21st century. Beals voiced "dozens of children, both male and female", according to Mark Evanier's obituary of him. Joaquin Rudolfo Zamora (March 26, 1910 – July 29, 1989) was a Mexican-American animator and animation director. His credits include, among others, '' The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show'', '' The Jetsons'', '' The Smurfs'', '' The Biskitts'', '' Peanuts''.
