The bishop of Kerry () is the ordinary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kerry, one of the suffragan dioceses of the Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly in Ireland. The Episcopal see changed its name from Ardfert and Aghadoe to Kerry on 20 December 1952. The bishop's seat (Cathedra) is located at the Cathedral Church Saint Mary, Killarney. William Murphy (born 6 June 1936), ordained as a priest in 1961, is a retired Roman Catholic bishop of Kerry. Life Murphy was born in Annaghmore, County Kerry, Ireland. He received his education at Ratheen National School and St Brendan's College, Killarney. He studied for the priesthood at St Patrick's College, Maynooth, and was ordained a priest in 1961. For six years, Murphy taught at St Colman's College, Newry. He then went on to study catechetics at Lumen Vitae, Brussels, and Fordham University, New York, where he earned an MA in religious education in 1969. He was Kerry diocesan advisor for religious education in primary schools in 1970, and then spent three years at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, earning a doctorate in divinity (DD) in 1973. Kevin McNamara (archbishop)
Kevin McNamara (10 June 1926 – 8 April 1987) was a senior Irish Catholic academic and bishop who in the early 1980s was seen as one of the most outspoken members of the Irish hierarchy on issues such as abortion and divorce. Denis Moynihan (b Rathmore, County Kerry 16 June 1885; d Tralee 5 December 1975) was an Irish Roman Catholic bishop. Moynihan was educated at St Brendan's College, Killarney.
