Birtukan Ayano Dadi
Birtukan Ayano Dadi (born 1975) is an Ethiopian judge and diplomat. From 2013 to 2017 she was Ethiopia's Ambassador to Canada. In 2003 Birtukan gained an LL.B. degree from the Ethiopian Civil Service University. From 2003 to 2006 she was a judge in the High Court of Oromia State. Canada–Ethiopia Relations
Canada–Ethiopia relations are foreign relations between Canada and Ethiopia. Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1956. Canada opened an embassy in Addis Ababa in 1957; although Ethiopia opened an embassy in Ottawa in 1962, it was closed the next year due to financial constraints and not re-opened until 1989. In 2021, Ethiopia closed its embassy in Ottawa again due to reshuffling and reorganization. In 2022, Ethiopia reopened its embassy in Ottawa. Arsi Province
Arsi Province ( Amharic: አርሲ) was a province of Ethiopian Empire with its capital at Asella. Historically a part of the Emirate of Harar until its invasion by Menelik and subsequent incorporation into modern Ethiopia. The province was reduced to a Zone of the Oromia Region with the adoption of the new constitution in 1995. In more ancient times, the region is seemingly related to the Harla. Both the Zone and the former province are occupied by the Arsi Oromo, who inhabit both the former Bale and Arsi provinces. History Aanolee massacre In Hitosa, the Aanolee massacre took place on 6 September 1886, in which Emperor Menelik II's army massacred 11,000 Arsi Oromo in one day, cutting women's breasts and men's hands. Bale Province, Ethiopia
Bale ( Amharic: ባሌ), also known as Bali, is the name of two former polities located in the southeastern part of modern Ethiopia. History of Bale Bale was a Muslim kingdom part of the Zaila confederate states under Sultanate of Showa however later in the centuries it became involved in a tug of war between the rising Christian Solomonic dynasty and Muslim states in the region. In the 14th century it was located between Ifat and Solomonic tributary state of Hadiya. Robe, also called as Bale Robe, is a town in south-central Oromia Region, Ethiopia. Located in the Bale Zone, this town has a latitude and longitude of with an elevation of above sea level. It is located about 430 kilometres by road from the capital Addis Ababa. Robe shares Robe Airport (ICAO code HAGB, IATA GOB) with neighboring Goba. Ethiopians are the native inhabitants of Ethiopia, as well as the global diaspora of Ethiopia.
