Birdnest Records
Birdnest Records is a Swedish record company mainly dealing in punk music. History It was founded by Per Granberg who also plays in Charta 77. The company was founded as a DIY company with the intention of only publishing Granberg's own records in 1982, under the name ''Birdskit''. After a while Birnest also took on other bands, mostly in the trallpunk genre, and in 1988 they changed the name to Birdnest. When trallpunk became popular in the early 1990s the company grew. Notable bands are Dia Psalma and De lyckliga kompisarna. During the same period several smaller record companies were distributed by Birdnest (among them ''Desperate Fight Records'' from Umeå). In the late 1990s the company suffered from restructurings at MNW who they had shared distribution with. Birdnest managed to straighten out the finances thanks to a support gala for the company. However the activity of the company has gone down and it now mostly publish records by Granberg's own bands and his friends. ... Stukas
The Orchestre Stukas (also referred to as the Stukas Boys, the Stukas or the Stukas of Zaire) was a congolese soukous band of the 1970s. It was based in Kinshasa, Zaire (now DR Congo). At the apex of their popularity, the Stukas were led by singer and showman Gaby Lita Bembo. History The Stukas were founded by Alida Domingo in 1968. Also acclaimed guitarist Dodoly (nicknamed "the sewing machine" for his high speed solos) began his career in Stukas before his successful experience in Bozi Boziana's Anti Choc. While great soukous bands such as Zaïko Langa Langa, Bella Bella or OK Jazz competed with each other for the favors of the Kinshasa youth, Stukas deliberately played in the outskir ... Rydh's death Following Rydh's death in a car crash in 1992, the remaining members disbanded Strebers, as they felt they could not continue under the old name without Rydh. Johansson and bassist Blomberg then formed Dia Psalma Dia Psalma was a self-described punk/folk rock/metal fusion band, from Strängnäs, Sweden. Him Kerosene
Him Kerosene was a Swedish 1990s alternative rock band founded in Luleå. History Him Kerosene started in 1991, at first playing pop music inspired by The Beatles and The Smiths, although the band would later be known for a harder and more dynamic sound. The band's home town, Luleå, had many rehearsal studios, and several bands were around, with members from one band often contributing to another. This was especially clear in the case of Him Kerosene, which during its lifetime saw members from several other famous Swedish bands. Two of the members in the first lineup, Kristofer Åström and Pelle Gunnerfeldt, were from the prominent hardcore band Fireside, and this increased media attention. In 1995, local record company Ampersand Records released Him Kerosene's first album, ''Recorder''. Bear Quartet members Johan Forsling and Mattias Alkberg contributed with some of the music and lyrics. Forsling also became a Him Kerosene member for a brief period, replacing Kristofer ... Hydrogenium (band)
The trihydrogen cation or protonated molecular hydrogen is a cation (positive ion) with formula , consisting of three hydrogen nuclei ( protons) sharing two electrons. The trihydrogen cation is one of the most abundant ions in the universe. It is stable in the interstellar medium (ISM) due to the low temperature and low density of interstellar space. The role that plays in the gas-phase chemistry of the ISM is unparalleled by any other molecular ion. The trihydrogen cation is the simplest triatomic molecule, because its two electrons are the only valence electrons in the system. It is also the simplest example of a three-center two-electron bond system. History was first discovered by J. J. Thomson in 1911. While studying the resultant species of plasma discharges, he discovered something very odd. Using an early form of mass spectrometry, he discovered a large abundance of a molecular ion with a mass-to-charge ratio of 3. He stated that the only two possibilities were C4+ o ...
