Birdman And The Galaxy Trio
''Birdman and the Galaxy Trio'', or simply ''Birdman'' or ''The Galaxy Trio'', is an American animated television series by Hanna-Barbera Productions that debuted on NBC on September 9, 1967, and ran on Saturday mornings until September 6, 1969. The program consists of two segments: ''Birdman,'' depicting the adventures of a winged superhero (created by Alex Toth, creator of ''Space Ghost'') powered by the sun, and ''The Galaxy Trio,'' centered around the adventures of a patrol of interstellar superheroes. Each segment was a complete independent story, and the characters of each segment did not interact with those of the other, except for a bumper that has all four heroes defeating a prehistoric monster. Mya-Rose Craig
Mya-Rose Craig (born 2002), also known as Birdgirl, is a British-Bangladeshi ornithologist, author, and campaigner for equal rights. In February 2020, she received an honorary doctorate in science (DSc hc) from the University of Bristol, and is said to be the youngest British person to receive such an award. In June 2022, she published the U.K. edition of her autobiography, ''Birdgirl'', which will be publishing in the U.S. in March 2023. Craig went to Chew Valley School and is now studying Human, Social and Political Sciences at St John's College, Cambridge University. She created the non-profit organisation Black2Nature to run nature camps for black and minority ethnic children. Her honorary degree was awarded for that initiative, and in recognition of her advocacy for visible minority ethnic (VME) children and teenagers. Bird Girl
''Bird Girl'' is a sculpture made in 1936 by Sylvia Shaw Judson in Lake Forest, Illinois. It was sculpted at Ragdale, her family's summer home, and achieved fame when it was featured on the cover of the 1994 non-fiction novel ''Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil''. Originally exhibited as ''Girl with Bowls'' at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1938, it was also exhibited as ''Fountain Figure'', ''Standing Figure'', and ''Peasant Girl''. A 1967 book by Judson first referred to it as ''Bird Girl''. Description ''Bird Girl'' is cast in bronze and stands tall.
