Bintan Resorts
Bintan Resorts is the name for a resort enclave occupying the northern area of the Indonesian island of Bintan. It consists of nine resorts, plus a small service apartment development. Although the area is within Indonesian territory, the island is marketed at residents from nearby Singapore, for whom Bintan is a short ferry trip away. The development received 410,454 visitors in 2009, of which the largest proportion, almost 30%, were Singaporean. The area is generally a short-stay destination, with 90% of visitors staying less than seven days. Bintan welcomed a record-breaking one million visitors for the first time in 2018. Bintan
Bintan Regency (formerly Riau Islands Regency; id, Kabupaten Kepulauan Riau) is an administrative area in the Riau Islands Province of Indonesia. Bintan Regency includes all of Bintan Island (except for the city of Tanjung Pinang which is separately administered as an autonomous area of the island) and also includes many outlying islands including the Tambelan Archipelago and Badas Islands situated between Bintan and West Kalimantan. Location The Island is located 40 kilometres from Singapore, with an area of 1,462.77 km2, and it has a population of around 330,000 at the 2010 Census (including Tanjung Pinang), which by the 2020 Census had risen to 387,181. These population figures include outlying islands and archipelagoes that are included within Bintan Regency. Short-term rental describes furnished self-contained apartments that are rented for short periods of time, usually by the month as opposed to annual rentals in the unfurnished apartment rental market. Bintan Island
Bintan Island or ''Negeri Segantang Lada'' is an island in the Riau archipelago of Indonesia. It is part of the Riau Islands province, the capital of which, Tanjung Pinang, lies in the island's south and is the island's main community. Bintan's land area is (total area is including 96% sea area). Its administrative region is designated the Bintan Regency, one of the six administrative regencies of the Riau Islands province. The city of Tanjung Pinang is an autonomous area geographically within Bintan Island but not included in the Regency. Bintan's history is traced to the early 3rd century.
