Alfred Binks
Alfred Noble Binks (11 October 1873 – 31 July 1953) was an Australian politician. He was born at Broughton Village near Gerringong to dairy farmer Thomas Binks and Mary Hetherington. He attended public schools at Broughton Vale and Cambewarra and became a dairy farmer, serving as a Gerringong alderman from 1920 to 1929. On 18 January 1908 he married Louisa Cashman, with whom he had two children. From 1932 to 1952 he was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council, first as a member of the United Australia Party The United Australia Party (UAP) was an Australian political party that was founded in 1931 and dissolved in 1945. Eddie Binks
John Edward Binks (3 May 1887 – 18 July 1963) was a British trade unionist and politician, who served as President of the National Union of Railwaymen, and as an alderman on the London County Council. Born in Islington, Binks' father died when Eddie was only six years old, and he was later brought up by an aunt and uncle. He left school around the age of thirteen and became an office clerk, then when he was sixteen moved to work with the Midland Railway at Walthamstow, acting as a weighbridge clerk. He worked in a variety of jobs for the company, around London, before becoming a checker at St Pancras Goods Station. In 1913, the National Union of Railwaymen (NUR) was founded, and Binks was elected as assistant secretary of its Kentish Town branch, the union's largest branch. Although he was regarded by many as the best wicket-keeper of his generation, his limited batting ability restricted him to just two Test match appearances for England, both on the 1963-64 tour to India. Kenneth C. Binks, (19 May 1925 – 14 September 2018) was a Progressive Conservative party member of the House of Commons of Canada. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, he was a lawyer by career. He represented the Ontario riding of Ottawa West during the short-lived 31st Canadian Parliament after winning the seat in the 1979 federal election. He lost the 1980 election to Cyril Lloyd Francis of the Liberal party. He is best-known for being the drummer for Judas Priest, where he was a member from 1977 to 1979. Martin John Binks (born 15 September 1953) is an English former footballer who played as a defender in the Football League for Colchester United and Cambridge United. Career Born in Romford, Binks began his career with Leyton Orient, but failed to make a first team appearance for the club. He moved to Colchester United in 1972, where he made ten league appearances. He made his league debut on 19 August 1972 in a 2–1 defeat to Hartlepool United. Reuben Ward Binks (1880, Bolton, Lancashire – 17 May 1950, Westmorland) was an English artist in canine portraiture, Lakeland landscapes and wildlife painting.
