Bingo Durango
{{Use mdy dates, date=April 2025 Bingo Durango was an eighties alternative pop/rock group that drew heavily on the sound of sixties psychedelia. The band's releases were characterized by layered arrangements, dreamy melodies, and the fluid guitar of Scott Mather. Origins Bingo Durango crystallized around a guitar driven, New York quintet in the mid-eighties. The band came to the attention of ex-Roxy Music bassist and Smiths’ producer John Porter. An LP's worth of tracks mixed at London's Matrix Studios with the assistance of Billy Bragg producer Kenney Jones, were later deemed unsuitable for release. Instead, the band retired to a Boston studio with engineer Gene Bodio to record the four-song EP ''Bingo Durango''. Courted by a number of American labels, Bingo Durango suffered the death of drummer Allan Shutter in a tragic accident. Psychedelia usually refers to a Aesthetics, style or aesthetic that is resembled in the psychedelic subculture of the 1960s and the psychedelic experience produced by certain psychoactive substances. David Yazbek
David Norman Yazbek (born 1961) is an American writer, musician, composer, and lyricist. He wrote the music and lyrics for the Broadway musicals ''The Full Monty'' (2000), '' Dirty Rotten Scoundrels'' (2004), '' Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown'' (2010), ''The Band's Visit'' (2017), ''Tootsie'' (2019), and '' Dead Outlaw'' (2025). Dave Gregory (musician)
David Charles Gregory (born 21 September 1952) is an English guitarist from Swindon, best known for his work with the rock band XTC. He was a member of the group between the single " Life Begins at the Hop" (1979) and early sessions for the album '' Apple Venus Volume 1'' (1999), contributing guitar, keyboards, and occasional string arrangements. Career In '76/'77, before XTC Gregory was lead guitarist for Dave Heap's Forest of Dean based band, Gogmagog along with Jim Leach on keyboard. He was also in the Swindon-based band Dean Gabba and the Gabbadeans. He joined XTC as guitarist immediately prior to the recording of the ''Drums and Wires'' LP in 1979, when he replaced Barry Andrews, eventually leaving the band in 1999.
