Bina Qeredaxi
Bina Majid Mustafa, known as Bina Qeredaxi (Kurdish languages, Kurdish: بینا قه‌ره‌داغی), was born in 1988 in Dohuk, Duhok, Iraqi Kurdistan, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. She is a filmmaker and media specialist with over nine years of experience in filmmaking, Television industry and cultural management. Bina has earned her Bachelor of Arts, BA in Law and Politics in 2010 at University of Duhok but started her film and media career in 2007 with writing and directing a popular social awareness-raising show named (Tik Tak) for Kurdistan TV channel, followed by several other TV shows in lead Kurdish channels. In the past years, she worked in different positions in award-winning films such as "Bekas (film), Bekas" by Karzan Kader, Karzan Kadir. Duhok
Duhok (; ; , ) is a city in Kurdistan Region, Iraq. It is the capital city of Duhok Governorate. Name The city of Duhok received its name from the Kurdish words ’du’ (two) and ’hok’ (lump) as a tax payment of two lumps from the basket of each passing caravan that often carry wheat and barley. According to a tradition presented by Sasson Nahum, Dohuk was initially named ''Dohuk-e Dasinya'', signifying "Dohuk of the Yezidis". However, after a massacre of the Yezidis, the town was abandoned, leading to the settlement of Muslims, Christians, and Jews in the area. Hisham Zaman
Hisham Zaman (born 1 February 1975) is a Norwegian film director and screenwriter of Kurdish origin. He graduated from the Norwegian Film School at Lillehammer in 2004. His films center on the stories and inner dilemmas of characters united by a common refugee experience, exploring human themes such as love, acceptance, sacrifice, revenge, loyalty and honour. He has co-written several of his scripts with the Norwegian crime novelist Kjell Ola Dahl. Zaman's breakthrough film, '' Bawke,'' won more than 40 national and international awards.
