Bill Wilson (activist)
Bill Wilson (born 1953) is an American conservative activist. He is a board member and former president of Americans for Limited Government, a Virginia-based non-profit group promoting small government. During his career, he has worked with groups advocating for right-to-work laws, term limits in the United States, term limits and school choice. Personal life Wilson grew up in a military household in rural Maryland. He has said that “I was raised to believe and have always believed that small government is best.” He would go on to graduate from the University of Delaware in 1975 earning a degree in Political Science, political science. His career in the field of politics began shortly thereafter, when he worked on Ronald Reagan’s campaign during the 1976 Delaware primary as a Youth Coordinator. William Wilson (Pennsylvania Politician)
William Wilson was an American politician who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1815 to 1819, representing the 10th congressional district of Pennsylvania as a Republican in the 14th United States Congress and the 15th United States Congress. Wilson's time in office began on March 4, 1815, and concluded on March 3, 1819. He missed 16 of the 219 roll call votes taken between December 1815 and March 1819. Despite Wilson's four-year tenure in the United States Congress, there is very little surviving historical documentation of his life, including the years and places of his birth and death, his burial location, and his activity before and after his time in office. He represented Norfolk in the Legislative Assembly of Upper Canada from 1830 to 1834 as a Conservative. Wilson was born in the old province of Quebec (later Lower Canada), but later moved to Simcoe, Upper Canada. Bill Wilson (1944 – January 25, 2025) was a Canadian hereditary chief, politician, and lawyer. He carried the Kwak’wala name Hemas Kla-Lee-Lee-Kla. Hemas means “the Chief who is always there to help” and Kla-Lee-Lee-Kla means “the first rank among the eagles.” He was a descendant of the Musgamgw Tsawataineuk and Laich-kwil-tach peoples, which are part of the Kwakwaka'wakw, also known as the Kwak’wala-speaking peoples. Personal life Wilson was born in 1944 in Comox, British Columbia and was the son of Puugladee (also known as Ethel or Effery), the eldest child of a hereditary chief and a hamatsa, a position of very high stature in Kwagiulth culture. Wilson’s father, Charlie Wilson, was the eldest of six and supported his siblings while growing up. He died aged 62 from diabetes complications. The Empire of Austenasia is a micronation founded in 2008 in the United Kingdom. Operating under a constitutional monarchy, it consists of dozens of properties that have declared themselves independent under the leadership of a house in the London Borough of Sutton. Dr William Laurence Wilson (born 11 December 1963) is a former Scottish National Party (SNP) politician. He was a regional list Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the West of Scotland region from 2007 to 2011. He left the SNP in 2017 and now serves as co-convener of the Edinburgh Branch of the Scottish Green Party. Early life Wilson was born in Paisley in 1963 and attended Shawlands Academy, the University of Glasgow, University of Aberdeen, and Queen's University Belfast. William Wilson DL (28 June 1913 – 18 August 2010), was a British Labour Party politician. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) for constituencies in Coventry from 1964 to 1983. He was the chairman of the British-Soviet Friendship Society from 1977 to 1983. Wilson was educated at Coventry Technical College and Birmingham University. He served in the British Army during World War II in North Africa, Italy and Greece, rising to the rank of sergeant. After the war he qualified as a solicitor and made several unsuccessful attempts to win the Warwick and Leamington constituency in 1951, 1955, 1957 and 1959, before being successful in 1964 in Coventry South, which he represented (later as Coventry South East) until retiring from Parliament in 1983.
