Billy Goodwin (musician)
NewSong is an American contemporary Christian music group that was established in 1981, at Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta, Georgia. They have had twelve GMA Dove Award nominations, and one Grammy Award Nomination. They are also the founders of the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, the United States' largest annual Christian music tour. It began in 1995, and is hosted by NewSong. Winter Jam has artists perform including TobyMac, Hillsong UNITED, Newsboys, Lecrae, MercyMe, and Skillet. NewSong has provided support for organizations working with abandoned and underprivileged children. For years they worked with World Vision. Then in 2006, the band became involved with Holt International. The original four members included the current members Eddie Carswell, Billy Goodwin, and former members Eddie Middleton and Bobby Apon. Hillsong United (stylised as Hillsong UNITED or UNITED) is a contemporary worship collective originating from Hillsong Church. Since forming in 1998 out of the church's youth ministry, the group has released fifteen live albums and six studio albums. Songwriter
A songwriter is a person who creates musical compositions or writes lyrics for songs, or both. Gotee Records is a record label of Christian hip-hop, based in Franklin, Tennessee in the United States. History The label was founded in 1994 by TobyMac, Todd Collins and Joey Elwood. The first album produced is Out of Eden's '' Lovin' the Day''. The label was a part of EMI Christian Music Group. However, they bought back EMI's minority share to become fully independent again as of March 31, 2008. Toby McKeehan is currently the president of the company and as of 2009, the label is currently distributed by Warner Bros. Records. McKeehan got the name "Gotee" from the song "Socially Acceptable" on dc Talk's album '' Free at Last''. A member of the band GRITS was doing the background vocals, and he was saying, "Let it go, T, let it go." ("T" refers to Toby). Out of Eden is an American urban contemporary gospel group. It features sisters Lisa Kimmey, Andrea Kimmey-Baca, and Danielle Kimmey. The group was active from 1994 to 2006, then again starting in September 2024. During their initial run they produced seven albums through Gotee Records and received "Urban Album of the Year" and "Urban Song of the Year" at the Dove Awards of 2003. Robert Briner
Robert (Bob) Briner (28 August 1935 – 1999) was a leading figure in professional sports management, an Emmy Award-winning television producer, and president of ProServ Television. Briner was the first Western sports executive to enter China after the Cultural Revolution and introduced National Basketball Association games to Chinese television. He developed major tennis tournaments in several countries including Israel, Cuba, South Africa and the Soviet Union. Briner earned a bachelor's degree in business and English from Greenville College. Briner was also a prolific writer, regularly contributing to the New York Times and Sports Illustrated. Truth (American Band)
Truth was an American Contemporary Christian group, active from 1971 to 2001. Formed by John Roger Breland (a professor at the University of Mobile), the ensemble's name stands for "Trust, Receive, Unchangeable, True Happiness n Jesus. It was initially composed of some 15 members who toured extensively year-round, eventually recording frequently as well. It eventually expanded to 22 members and continued touring regularly for thirty years, dissolving in 2001. In 2000, the group was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Beginnings The youth choir at Spring Hill Baptist in Mobile, Alabama, grew over the course of two years from 8 youth choir members to 140 members.
