Billy Buffalo
William "Billy" the Buffalo (debuted 2000 in Orchard Park, New York) is the official mascot of the NFL's Buffalo Bills. He is an blue American buffalo and became the team's full-time mascot in 2000. He wears the uniform "number" BB (which are his initials). An unofficial predecessor to Billy appeared at Bills games between 1974 and 1976. This mascot, which consisted of two men in a buffalo suit, had originated when the creators breached security at the Bills' ''Monday Night Football'' game and continued to make appearances until Ralph Wilson ordered the character not to be allowed in again. Orchard Park (town), New York
Orchard Park is an incorporated town in Erie County, New York, United States. It is an outer ring suburb southeast of Buffalo. As of the 2010 census, the population was 29,054, representing an increase of 5.13% from the 2000 census figure. The town contains a village also named Orchard Park. Orchard Park is one of the Southtowns of Erie County and is best known as the site of Highmark Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills. History In 1803, Didymus C. Ralph Wilson
Ralph Cookerly Wilson Jr. (October 17, 1918 – March 25, 2014) was an American businessman and sports executive. He was best known as the founder and owner of the Buffalo Bills, a team in the National Football League (NFL). He was one of the founding owners of the American Football League (AFL), the league with which the NFL merged in 1970, and was the last of the original AFL owners to own his team. At the time of his death he was the oldest owner in the NFL, at age 95. His 54 years of ownership was the third longest tenure by one owner in league history behind George Halas and Art Rooney.
