Bill Nations
Bill Nations (born June 28, 1942) is an American dentist and politician. Noble graduated from Noble High School in Noble, Oklahoma in 1960. He earned a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Oklahoma and obtained a degree in dentistry from Baylor University in 1968. Nations began working as a dentist in 1970. He was a member of the Norman City Council between 1986 and 1992, when he was elected mayor. Nations remained mayor until 1998, when he won his first Oklahoma House of Representatives election. He represented district 44 until 2010. Laura Boyd
Laura Boyd (born June 5, 1949) is an American politician from Oklahoma. A member of the Democratic Party, Boyd was elected in 1992 to the Oklahoma House of Representatives to represent District 44, which included Cleveland County. She served in the State House for six years until 1998 when she became the first woman to receive a major party nomination for Governor of Oklahoma. Incumbent Republican Governor Frank Keating defeated Boyd in a landslide. Eisenhower Fellowships selected Laura Boyd as a USA Eisenhower Fellow in 1999. Biography Boyd was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. She earned a bachelor's degree from Duke University, a master's from Marywood University, and a PhD in Psychology from American Commonwealth University. Emily Virgin
Emily Virgin (born October 1, 1986) is an American politician who is the Minority Leader of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. She previously served as House Democratic Caucus Chair. She was first elected in 2010 at the age of 24 and represents the 44th district, which includes Norman, Oklahoma. Virgin will retire from the Oklahoma House at end of 2022 due to term limits. Education Virgin completed an undergraduate degree in criminology and political science at the University of Oklahoma in 2009. Noble, Oklahoma
Noble is a city in Cleveland County, Oklahoma, United States, and is part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. The population was 6,481 at the 2010 census. Noble is Cleveland County's third-largest city behind Norman and Moore. History On April 22, 1889, the day the first Oklahoma "Land Run" opened the Unassigned Lands in the middle of Indian Territory to settlers, J.W.
