Bill Glasson (golfer)
William Lee Glasson Jr. (born April 29, 1960) is an American professional golfer who won several tournaments on the PGA Tour. Glasson was born in Fresno, California. He attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was a member of the golf team – a two-time All-American. He turned pro in 1983 and led the PGA Tour for driving distance in 1984. Glasson has enjoyed nine victories as a professional golfer: seven official PGA Tour events and two non-official events. His first win came at the 1985 Kemper Open. Trailing seven strokes behind the leader Larry Mize with 14 holes to play, Glasson made a 45-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole for a round of 66 to finish one stroke ahead of Mize and Corey Pavin. Glasson won a second Kemper Open in 1992 fending off a playoff challenge from John Daly. His best finish in a major is a tie for 4th place at the 1995 U.S. Open. Tommy Armour III
Thomas Dickson Armour III (born October 8, 1959) is an American professional golfer. Early life Armour is the grandson of three-time major champion Tommy Armour. Professional career Armour first joined the PGA Tour in 1981 at the age of 21. He has two career PGA Tour victories, winning the 1990 Phoenix Open and the 2003 Valero Texas Open. Armour previously held the scoring record for best overall 72 hole score (254), which he set with his Valero Texas Open victory in 2003, until it was surpassed in 2017 by Justin Thomas. He lost his Tour card in 2006 due to an injury; Armour finished 110th on the 2007 PGA Tour money list, earning his card for 2008. Centel Classic
The Tallahassee Open was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour from 1969 to 1989. It was played at Killearn Country Club in Tallahassee, Florida. It was founded in 1969 as the Tallahassee Open Invitational. From 1983 to 1985, it was part of the PGA Tour's "Tournament Players Series", a "satellite tour". The purse for the 1989 tournament was $750,000 with 135,000 going to the winner. The 1974 tournament featured the highest round scores in PGA history by a player who made the 36-hole cut. Mike Reasor severely injured himself horse riding between the second and third rounds. Needing to complete the tournament in order to gain an exemption for the Byron Nelson Classic, Reasor played the final two rounds using only a 5-iron and swinging using just one arm, recording scores of 123 and 114. Bruce Lietzke
Bruce Alan Lietzke (July 18, 1951 – July 28, 2018) was an American professional golfer. He won 13 tournaments on the PGA Tour. His best finish in a major championship was runner-up at the 1991 PGA Championship. He also had seven victories on the Champions Tour, including one senior major title, the 2003 U.S. Senior Open. Early life Lietzke was born in Kansas City, Kansas. He moved to Beaumont, Texas, with his parents in 1960 and lived there until 1977, graduating from Forest Park High School in 1969. Lietzke credited his older brother, Duane, for introducing him to the game of golf at age five. He also credits Henry Homberg, a local Beaumont professional, along with Duane for having the greatest influences on his game when he first started playing. Wayne John Levi (born February 22, 1952) is an American professional golfer. Early life Levi was born in Little Falls (city), New York, Little Falls, New York and attended high school in Herkimer, New York. He enrolled at Oswego State University for two years and then the University of South Florida briefly, before turning professional in 1973. Professional career Levi went on to win 12 times on the PGA Tour. PGA Tour Champions (formerly the Senior PGA Tour and the Champions Tour) is a men's professional senior golf tour, open to golfers age 50 and over, administered as a branch of the PGA Tour. History and format The Senior PGA Championship, founded in 1937, was for many years the only high-profile tournament for golfers over 50.
