Bill Cullen (businessman)
William Cullen (born 17 February 1942) is an Irish businessman and media personality. He is regularly seen on RTÉ programmes such as ''The Late Late Show (Irish talk show), The Late Late Show'' and ''The Frontline (Irish TV series), The Frontline''. Cullen was the owner of the Renault, Renault Ireland franchise until it was taken under more direct control by Renault in 2007. His 2001 autobiography, ''It's a Long Way from Penny Apples'', covered his life growing up as a poor child in inner-city Dublin. Between 2008 and 2012, he hosted the Irish reality television series ''The Apprentice (Irish TV series), The Apprentice''. His motor-trade business was put into receivership in October 2012. Summerhill () is a mainly residential area of Dublin, Ireland, on the Northside (Dublin), Northside of the city. The ''Sunday Tribune'' was an Irish Sunday broadsheet newspaper published by Tribune Newspapers plc. It was edited in its final years by Nóirín Hegarty, who changed both the tone and the physical format of the newspaper from broadsheet to tabloid. ''Gift Grub'' is a series of short comic pieces broadcast on weekdays on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on the Irish commercial radio station Today FM, having been broadcast since May 1999. History A precursor to "Gift Grub" originally aired on Today FM's predecessor, Radio Ireland, as a series of sketches called "Starship Compromise". This Star Trek parody featured a caricature of Gerry Adams as a starship captain accompanied by Martin McGuinness, with the two scouring the galaxy, seeking compromise with alien beings. In 1998, presenter Ian Dempsey joined the newly renamed Today FM which had replaced Radio Ireland. A year later, in March 1999, Paul McLoone joined Today FM and became a producer for the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show. Today FM is an Irish commercial FM radio station, owned and operated by Bauer Media Audio Ireland Limited. Broadcasting since 17 March 1997, it broadcasts mostly music, with a daily news and current affairs programme. Tom Dunne
Thomas Dunne is an Irish radio broadcaster with Newstalk, and a singer/songwriter with the band Something Happens. Prior to joining Newstalk, Dunne worked on Today FM, presenting his "Pet Sounds" radio program, which began airing in 1999. Dunne left Today FM to join Newstalk in August 2008. Dunne's former slot on Today FM was taken over by various guest presenters and later by Paul McLoone, who had previously worked as a producer on "Pet Sounds", from September 2008. ''The Restaurant'' is reality television programme produced by Vision Independent Productions in Ireland. The series first premiered on public service broadcaster RTÉ One where it ran for eight seasons. After a six-year hiatus, the show was renewed by the TV3 Group. ''Tubridy Tonight'' is a talk show hosted by Ryan Tubridy that aired on RTÉ One for five seasons between 2004 and 2009. The programme featured guest interviews (usually three per show), audience participation and live music from both a guest music group and the house band. ''Tubridy Tonight'' aired every Saturday night, except during the summer months, directly after the main evening news. The show's house musical act was Clint Velour and the Camembert Quartet. ''Tubridy Tonight'' was the first successful Saturday night chat show to be broadcast by RTÉ since the ending of ''Kenny Live'' in 1999.
