Bill Carson (ice Hockey)
William Joseph James "Doc" Carson (November 25, 1899 – May 29, 1967) was a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played 159 games in the National Hockey League between 1926 and 1930. Born in Bracebridge, Ontario, he played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. He won the Stanley Cup in 1929 with the Boston Bruins, scoring the game-winning goal in the team's 2-1 win at Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers. Bill was one of three Carson brothers to play in the NHL, along with younger brothers Gerry Gerry is both a surname and a masculine or feminine given name. Bill Carson (1934–1985) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s and 1960s. An Australia national and New South Wales state representative forward, he played his club football in the New South Wales Rugby Football League for Sydney's Western Suburbs club. Playing career Carson played for Wests in the 1958 NSWRFL season's and 1961 NSWRFL season's grand finals. His two international appearances were for Australia in the 2nd and 3rd games of the 1962 Ashes series.
